While at Hua Hin for the ASEAN Summit, just hours after the 2010 budget presentation in Parliament, I decided to call for a meeting to discuss the budget implementation. This decision is unprecedented: usually the budget implementation is left up to the Ministry of Finance to execute and monitor. However, I believe that as the Prime Minister of all Malaysians, it is vital that I personally supervise the effectuation of the first budget under my administration.

The main objective of the meeting was to study the implementation strategy for the 2010 National Budget and to troubleshoot problem areas at the start. Present at the meeting last Friday were all cabinet ministers and representatives of the relevant agencies, including the Securities Commission, the Governor of Bank Negara, as well as representatives from development corridors and regions, Telekom, Petronas and other major GLCs. It was an arduous task to personally study each initiative, project by project, line by line, but I wanted to ensure all accountable parties are clear on the objectives and goals of each initiative, hence ensuring proper implementation.

The progress of projects listed in the Budget will be monitored closely by the Project Management Unit (PMU) in the Ministry of Finance with the support of the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) to identify and resolve any roadblocks delaying the completion of these projects. I have also impressed upon the custodians of these initiatives the importance of maintaining proper communications between federal and state authorities to quickly resolve land issues or other issues concerning the state government.

To ensure the integrity of the implementation, findings tabled by the Implementation Coordination Unit will be reported via the Economic Council. All these efforts are put in place so the country remains on course to achieve its 2010 GDP target. It is also in line with the government's commitment to deliver according to the People First, Performance Now concept.

I hope that from the meeting on Friday, there is no doubt of my serious intention to see the goals of the 2010 Budget achieved and the government delivery system improve for the long-term benefit of the Rakyat.

Hema Madhavan: Invitation to grace KDU's Malam Kebudayaan Melayu 2010
Dear sir,
Good day to you.

Firstly, i'd like to thank you for being such an inspiration to the staff and students of KDU College, PJ. We have been trying very hard to approach YB to be our Guest of Honour for this year's event. It falls on the 6th of August 2010 at 8.30pm. Though we'd love to have you with us till the end of the event, we understand your tight schedule and would be honoured if YB could spend 1 hour for the opening ceremony. For you information, YB, last year's theme was 1Malaysia. This year we're taking it a step further to celebrate the colours of Malaysians in harmony and have themed it as Citrawarna Malaysia. As believers of your vibrant motto, we anticipate to hear from you at the soonest. We can be contacted at mhema@kdu.edu.my or sathya@kdu.edu.my or directly contacted at 012-3076230 (Ms Sathya).

Yuzwan: Cukai motorsikal import yang berpatutan
Assalamualaikun Dato Sri,

Terima kasih

KL Employee: Traffic Jem
The traffic in KL has become even worse day by day. Have you been caught in traffic to go to work every day? How many time wasted in that? The efficiency and economy of Malaysia was affected by that, does everyone notice? This is not new and the gov should look into this as the highest priority need to be solved. The related bodies should experienced it how chronic the traffic especially during the working hours. From my point of view, the traffic in the condense area can be solved if you can gather all the expertise to discuss and overcome the problem. Providing the highway is one thing but you have to make sure the linkage between highway and main road need to be study deeply. The linkages usually are the main cause of the traffic as everyone needs to go through to the narrow road to their destination. The gov should seriously study on this and there are a lot of bad implication due to this.

Tomorrow is 2010 Chinese New Year’s eve. Many Chineses are still working and they will open shop right after the first day of the Chinese lunar new year. Some do not understand the fuss of celebration and they do not celebrate for the simple reason that they cannot find any good reason to celebrate. These days, other races also want to celebrate, rest and relax on other races’ festive occasions. Your workers who think that work is equally important are genuine assets. How can there be first class public service if every public servant only thinks of taking leave on festive occasions ? It is a very poor management to allow other races to take leave for festive occasions not directly related to them and forgetting those who have direct relation with those occasions. In this, the whole organization can just close shop and call it a day.

azman abu bakar: astro
Dear PM,
It is felt that Astro, without a competitor, is a monopoly not giving the rakyat a choice of quality n charges.
And whilst on the subject of Astro, the 3 minute or so delays in the foreign and sports channel is sickening. All live events are 3 minutes late, are we so fearful of foreign perpective of 1Malaysia, that the 3 minute delay is required to exclude the contents , are Malaysians so immatured to evaluated validity of news. In the case of sports, we are probably the only nation on earth to see a live match 3 minutes delayed tosnip off foreign adverts, surely there is a technology to discard the adverts without delaying a goal in a soccer match by 3 minutes.

SIDEK MD NOR: Nasib Pesara ATM sebelum 2002
YAB Dato Sri,
Apakah asas penilaiannya? Sedangkan Petani dan Nelayan pun diberi percuma RM200 sebulan
3.Kos hidup kian perit. Beras Nasional RM16 dijual RM20. Ikan selayang RM2/kilo jadi RM6. Belanja anak kesekolah minimum RM3/seorang. Apa akan jadi bila harga minyak diubah pada Mei nanti? Fikirkan nasib kami sama.
Terima kasih.
