Sebagai pesara guru yg telah berkhidmat selama 35+ tahun, saya dapati ada kelemahan Sistem Pend. kita ini. Contohnya Kelas Peralihan: mengapa perlu diteruskan kerana rata2 guru yg mengajar kelas ini berasa tertekan dg berbagai masalah seperti tahap kefahaman pelajar dlm bahasa Kebangsaan, tahap disiplin yg rendah, tahap pergaulan yg tidak menampakkan spti org Malaysia dll. Mengapa berlaku ini? Puncanya kerana kita telah mengasingkan pelajar ini sejak dr kecil lagi ke dlm kelas yg mengikut bahasa & budaya mereka. Pada pandangan saya jika YAB Datuk Seri mahu mengujudkan bangsa 1Malaysia, kita perlu himpunkan murid2 ini di dlm sebuah kelas yg mengandungi semua bangsa di dlmnya, tentunya sekolah kebangsaan. Kita wujudkan Sistem Pdk 1Malaysia: Semua bahasa diajar seperti Bah. Kebangsaan, Bah. Inggeris, Bah. China, Bah. Tamil, disamping mp. lain, spt. Mat, Sains dan Sains Sosial + Ug. Islam bg. pel. Salam, Dato Seri… Sigle stream school ni bagus jugak dilaksanakan, namun amat sukar untuk di implementasikan sebab kaum masing2 takut kehilangan idenditi. Saya mencadangkan agar satu sesi ini dilaksanakan, namun dengan syarat 1) Sekolah satu sesi menjadikan Bahasa tamil, bahasa mandarin dan bahawa melayu sebagai matapelajaran wajib di ambil semua pelajar. tapi tidak wajib lulus dalam peperiksaan besar. Ini bermakna, pelajar di sekolah kebangsaan biasa akan mempelajarai 4 bahasa termasuk bahasa inggeris. ini langkah baik sebab semangkin banyak bahasa dikuasai semakin cerdik lah akal fikiran pelajar. 2) memberi ganjaran kepada pelajar dan guru yang dapat mengajar dan mendalami keempat2 bahasa berkenaan.

Assalamualaikum Dato' Seri.. Sekolah 1 aliran ada baik dan buruknya.. Ianya sangat bagus jika difikirkan dari segi pendedahan kepada anak-anak. Anak-anak juga akan lebih berdaya saing. Sejajar dengan Tema 1 Malaysia. Namun sekiranya hanya 1 aliran yang digunakan ianya seolah2 menggambarkan Malaysia hanya untuk satu bangsa. Ketika itu akan menimbulkan rasa ragu-ragu bagi bangsa lain seolah-olah Kerajaan menidakkan hak mereka. Saya mencadangkan agar membuat sistem pemilihan aliran dari sekolah rendah. Anak-anak diberi pilihan untuk memilih aliran yang dirasakan sesuai apabila naik ke sekolah menengah Pihak Jabatan Pendidikan boleh menentukan aliran mereka mengikut tahap kelayakan. perpaduan memang penting tapi saya lebih risau tentang pekerja asing. sektor perkilangan pun dah dikuasai pekerja asing. dulu pekerja asing sekadar menjadi operater tapi sekarang sesetengah kilang memberikan jawatan lebih tinggi kepada pekerja asing. contohnya juruteknik,dulunya menjadi milik rakyat malaysia kini dikuasai pekerja asing. rakyat malaysia harus menghadiri pelbagai temuduga dan syarat-syarat kelayakan yang ketat sedangkan warga asing senang lenang dapat jawatan tersebut.kita macam mengemis di tanah air sendiri sekarang,sapa yang nak tolong rakyat malaysia?. kita sibuk runding nak bawak masuk rakyat indonesia lagi.rakyat malaysia siapa rundingkan?.dalam masalah ini, rakyat indonesia ke malaysia didahulukan?

Datuk Seri , On the weekend paper there is a plight of 3 students that doesnt obtain matriculation programme although they got straight As in their SPM.Ythis problem is still persisting among the non-bumiputera…We are still wondering whther 1Malaysia concept which is initiate by Datuk Seri is a drama or a reality..Pls lay out a proper mechanism to prevent this problems in the future and dont let out our talents being grabbed by foreign country…We had lost lot..Pls make the entry to university totally based on merit n y there is a quota system for gaining job into government and GLC…I challenge you to mention one country which is ractising quota system in eduction and jobs…Seriously look into this matter…

konsep satu malaysia tidak dinafikan memberikan satu suasana baru dalam negara. mengenai asrama satu malaysia memang agak menarik tetapi hati-hati mengenai buli. menghimpunkan palajar dari berlainan sekolah dalam satu bumbung akan menimbulkan pergaduhan. dahulu pergaduhan akan berlaku antara kaum je. pasti nanti akan timbul pula pergaduhan antara sekolah jadi pastikan pelajar yang ditawarkan asrama ini mempunyai rekod yang baik dan dikawal dengan ketat. jangan pula nanti bila pelajar dah koma baru nak beri perhatian

YAB DS NAJIB untuk maklumat semua pelajar asing yg mengambil peperikaan kemasukan ke Universiti Jepun mereka boleh ambil peperiksaan dlm matapelajaran sains imul hisab , Geograophy , Sejarah dalam bahasa inggiris. Alangkah baik nya kita membenarkan pelajar asing untuk mengambil peperiksaan SPM dan STPM dlm Bahasa Inggiris bagi matapelajeran spt maths ,sains ,economic utk menarik pelajar asing ke Malaysia. Pendidikan dlm bahasa berlainan bukan lah masaalah di India ,Canada ,Swizerland pun ada,tapi saya ingat Kita yg paling unik dan paling berjaya , itu pun sebahagian daripada one stream education , kerana apa yg murid murid belajari adalah dgn matlamat yg sama ,wawasan 2020 , satu Malaysia. Jadi Isu One stream tak wujud sekalipun. Kalau boleh kerajaan pun berilah peruntukan diberikan bagi membolehkan anak expatriat luar negara ,jepun ,jerman , Arab, belajar dalam bahasa bonda mereka , untuk menjayakan program Malaysia My second home.

Salam Dato'Seri,berkaitan dengan sis. pendidikan negara eloklah kiranya saya luahkan kekecewaan saya berkaitan penempatan guru sekolah.Penempatan guru sekolah bagi mereka yang sudah berkahwin dan mempunyai anak untuk mengikut suami @ isteri masing-masing harus diberi perhatian.Permohonan pertukaran guru harus dilonggarkan kepada golongan ini tanpa menunggu bertahun-tahun baru permohonan diluluskan. Dato' Seri,saya seorang rakyat Trg pekerja swasta manakala isteri saya seorang guru yang mengajar diPontian Johor mempunyai 3 orang anak,berusia 4tahun dan 6tahun dibawah jagaan saya manakala seorang lagi berusia 3bulan jagaan isteri saya.Pelbagai masalah akan wujud terutamanya berkaitan keselamatan isteri,suami dan anak apabila masing-masing tinggal berjauhan.Entahlah pelbagai perkara didengar berkenaan sistem pertukaran guru ini termasuk beberapa buah negeri telah membekukan permohonan pertukaran guru ini.

Salam Sejahtera YAB Dato', saya sebagai penjawat awam ingin memberi sedikit komen mengenai peperiksaan Tahap Kecekapan yang dijalankan bagi kenaikan dan anjakan gaji yang dijalankan sekarang. Untuk makluman YAB Dato Seri saya telah lulus PTK tahap 3 sejak tahun 2003 dan masih sehingga ke tahun ini mengulangi mengambil peperiksaan ini dan masih mendapat tahap 3. Seperti yg sedia maklum, keputusan di tahap 3 ini hanya layak unutuk kenaikan pangkat jika ada jawatan kenaikan pangkat. Apa yang malang kepada saya tiada gred jawatan yang diwujudkan untuk skim perkhidmatan saya itu. Saya sekarang berada di gred 32 , oleh itu saya menunggu untuk diwujudkan gred 36. Harap YAB Dato seri dapat mencadangkan kenaikan pangkat boleh dibuat secara automatik sekira telah lulus PTK serta mendapat perakuan Ketua Jabatan . diwujudkan untuk

Salam Dato' Seri dan Salam 1MALAYSIA dari saya dan peserta Ekspedisi… ’Ekspidisi Berbasikal ’1MALAYSIA’ Jelajah Utara-Selatan’ yang akan bermula dari Padang Besar, Perlis hingga ke Kem Iskandar, Mersing Johor. Ekspedisi ini akan bermula pada 9 Dis 09 sehingga 18 Dis 09, selama 10 hari. Orang Melayu telah lama menerima sekolah satu aliran dengan sekolah kebangsaan, termasuk menggunakan tulisan rumi menggantikan tulisan jawi. kaum lain sepatutnya menerimanya juga, kerajaan harus bertegas dalam perkara ini. Satu aliran tidak bermakna tulisan cina dan india akan hilang. bermakna Tulisan Jawi, Cina dan India akan menjadi satu metapelajaran pilihan para pelajar. Kerajaan tidak perlu takut kehilangan majoriti undi kerana pelaksanaan sistem satu aliran. Sistem parti popular untuk memerintah Malaysia tidak perlu diikuti. Satu hari nanti semua orang akan bersetuju dengan sistem ini yang akan menghapuskan banyak masalh yang timbul akibatnya sistem persekolahan yang berlainan aliran.

Dear YAB Najib, Learning and mastering one's mother tongue is vital and is one's pride. So, all the students in Malaysia are allowed to learn their mother tongue. Thanks to our forefathers far sight. However, we should not deny the fact that the more the number of languages we learn the more opportunities and recognitions we get in our career and in our life after studies. It is advisable that Malay and Tamil students master English and Mandarin apart from their mother tongue. This would be very useful in their career. The Chinese students on the other hand should master the Chinese Dialects i.e. Hokkien and Cantonese in order to move well with his own community in any part of Malaysia. It is a known fact that each region in Malaysia has its own local Chinese Dialect.

It reminded me of my thesis back in college. The topic was bilingual children’s education in the United States. In my opinion, children can excel in their studies in whatever means. The most important is hard work. If the children chose single stream, then they have to learn to assimilate with their environment to gain acceptance in the society. If the children chose bilingual education, then they will need time to develop reading skill to understand the subjects taught better. To introduce 1Malaysia concept, in the current system, it can be done through extra curriculum or make it as an elective subjects in school. Each system has its own advantages and disadvantages. Parents should play important roles to assist their children what is best and suitable for their children so they don't drop out or left behind because of communication barrier and at the same time maintaining our identity/culture.

Datuk Seri, I think that we should have a long-range plan for our education system. Having too many changes in a short period of time will not benefit our national education. The change from teaching Maths and Science in English to teaching them in Bahasa is a good example. Another observation is that whenever a new minister of education comes on board, changes would be made. This is not a healthy trend. I hope that the education ministry will introduce a long-range plan that will really improve on our present education system. Thank you for your attention.

A'kum Dato sri, i was just thinking, why do the minister of education think that it's a good approach to stop using English language on certain subjects such as Mathematics. science etc? I really don't see any good realistic reason on doing so other than people complaining that it is hard etc, which i think its just an excuse of being lazy. I really think that English is a very important language for Malaysians to go international regardless of any subjects they're into. In this matter, i really think that the teachers should put more effort on finding ways to deal with the teaching methods with english, so that our young generation will have a solid proper english and confidence to communicate and establish around the globe. This is not about languages, be it National Language, Second Language or mother tongue languages. This is about building the nation right from the beginning. Jelly can no longer be formed when it is already hardened. Jelly can be shaped into any shape before it is hardened. That is very simple! In Malaysia, the National Language is Bahasa Kebangsaan i.e. based on Bahasa Melayu. Anyone dispute this? Isn't spelt in Rukun Negara? Constitution? Language Act? Single common language is to unite its people. Again very simple concept. Why cloud the issue of building the nation via proper education system with foreign ancestral values like mother tongues? If government still want to play safe and jeopardise further the unity of this country, then call fr Referendum on the Single Stream school. Let's now here it from the rakyats, not politicians!

Masih ramai pelajar-pelajar yang sambil lewa terhadap subjek penting sejarah. Mereka sering bosan sering kali kelas sejarah. Mungkin disebabkan guru, bahan sokongan pengajaran ( buku teks) dan sebagainye. Mungkin mereka terlepas pandang pada halaman-halaman buku teks ada disediakan bahan-bahan sokongan lain yang mungkin boleh menanambah pengetahuan mengenai perkara-perkara sejarah di setiap bab. Contohnye ade disediakn laman web, sumber buku sejarah dan tempat yang boleh dilawati untuk mempelajari sejarah dengan lebih realistik dan menarik. Pindaan Akta Pendidikan 1996 perlu dilakukan. Jika Kerajaan tidak mempunyai keberanian untuk melaksanakan Sekolah Satu Aliran, saya gesa agar Kerajaan memulangkan tanggungjawab menentukan halatuju pendidikan negara kita kepada rakyat.

[Bahagian 2] Saya gesa Kerajaan melaksanakan referendum nasional untuk melihat sejauh mana kehendak 'rakyat' sebenar. Kami tidak mahu lagi mendengar alasan daripada persatuan chauvinis seperti Dong Zong yang kononnya mewakili suara 'rakyat'. Biarkan rakyat sebenar semua yang tentukan. Jika mahu dengar suara rakyat yang sebenar dan Kerajaan benar-benar mengamalkan 1Malaysia, Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan maka sewajibnya Kerajaan benarkan referendum dilaksanakan. Datuk Seri, I think that would be a great idea to have single stream schools in this country however the schools must be able to offer tamil as well as mandarin the students studying there.It would be good if all malaysian could learn to communicate in 4 different language ( Malay, English, Tamil and Mandarin).Having Mandrin and Tamil as our country 3rd language would be an added advantage for malaysian that would benefit the country

[...samubungan] Saya pernah terbaca blog orang cina sendiri yang mempersoalkan apakah tindakan Dong Zuan itu berfaedah, contohnya untuk mengenali budaya cina, budaya apa? tiada pun pelajaran budaya cina di sekolah cina, malah, di sesetengah sekolah kebangsaan ada kelab tarian singa (jika tarian singa itu dimaksudkan budaya), bahasa mandarin boleh di ajar di sekolah kebangsaan, malah ramai orang Melayu sendiri hendak belajar bahasa Mandarin kerana ia memberi keuntugan dari segi ekonomi, mana tahu kita pun hendak berniaga di negara Cina, jadi apa relevannya?

It's indeed a great idea to mould a nation through education. The government should change the status of SJK, SMJK, MRSM, UiTM and SBP to enable access to education for all. If the current government worry too much for their own political benefit, not nation's benefit, then this mission of One School for All won't be successful. The government should also approach Mathematics and Sciences in a different way, like here in the United Kingdom where students of different capacities will sit for different type of exam papers and those who are mathematically capable will be place on different programme in schools to enhance their other potential. As a mathematics lecturer in United Kingdom, I feel sorry for many students in Malaysia whom struggling to the very bottom in these subjects, not to mention the English langauge. There is little doubt, in my opinion, that using a single stream school will promote greater unity among all Malaysians. That having said, given the past government's biasness in implementing policies, this would surely raise more eyebrows among the non-majority race. My experience from a Chinese secondary school, to my undergraduate degree in UM tells me that it is not always easy to organise activities that are non-Malay. And surely, my experience is just a tip of the iceberg. Until this situation is rectified, surely the 'rest' of us will feel uneased at the implementation of single stream schools despite its good intentions. Again, I salute the idea of single-stream schools. But I reckon there are more important steps/policies that should be taken to unite the greater Malaysians and create 1 Malaysia than just to simply create 1 single streamed school.

Dear Prime Minister, I really appreciated the opportunity to learn Chinese at primary and secondary school, as this has become a crucial part of my life. However, unfortunately, throughout these years, i have only interacted with chinese the most and didnt really have any friends from other races. besides that, what saddens me the most is the negative comments my schoolmates have towards people of other races. but i suppose they are not to be blamed, as this is largely because of their ignorance or naiveness. much of this may have been prevented if we all had the exposure to people of other races. thus, it is the interaction and living/learning together that is key to fostering unity amongst people of different races/religions, rather than just learning the virtues from textbooks. as we know, having actual experience in something is always better than just reading it in theory. thank you once again for your dedication to the future of all Malaysians!

In my opinion, those people that protect race based school are racist and liar since they know that there is more benefit having a one school system just like US and UK. This is the same countries that they always want to to refer to when they want us to let go our right. However, when it came to time when they are on wrong sides, they asked us not to compare with these countries because our country and society is not the same. Please Dato Seri, you should be more firm on this if you really want to ensure the success of 1Malaysia. You cannot ask another group of community let go everything that have and let the other group have all they want.

I support the single stream education. I find that the current education system is the main factor that divides the various races in this country. A single education system is needed to bring all races together. It may not happen next year, but I hope the Prime Minister will define a plan to make it happen eventually. We can't wait for all to agree….coz' that will never happen. We need to do what is right, even though the majority may not agree. This is my view.

I really hope that you are having a real broad mind to allow multi stream school systems to exist always as well as practicing multi cultural management systems. As such, I humbly to present my view of point so that Malaysia won't repeat many mistakes as done by other countries.

Part II Is the statement: Malaysia should emulate Singapore’s single stream school system so as to produce a population that “no longer spoke and acted on racial sentiments" as suggested by Dato Seri ZM a true?? If ZM said Singapore no longer acts on racial sentiments, Why the Government of Singapore discourages the Malay Singaporeans to joint the armed forces? Why almost none of their Malay leaders are holding any key positions in the Public sectors? Why only a lone minister serves in Cabinet of the PAP Government of Singapore even though the Malay comprises of about 15% of the total population of Singapore? Part IV But in the reality, the Indonesian society is one of the world's most violent places. Bombing Churches, killing innocents and burning cars/properties can really open your eye big but all these are and have been happening in Indonesia…… I have been doing business in Indonesia for the past almost 20 years; I think I could even write a book regarding the weak and successful points of Indonesia. BUT ONE POINT IS VERY CLEAR that A SINGLE LANGUAGE SYSTEM CAN NEVER UNITE PEOPLE.

Part V From this conversation, you sure would know that this bank officer was not a pribumi (i.e. similar to bumiputra). My goodness, how come this could be a reason and happen in so called a single language spoken country????

Part VI If according to ZM ideas, Switzerland which is practicing real multi languages system, (all 4 languages in the country are treated equally and the same official status), should be the most divided and unmercifully country in the world. But in the real world, the Switzerland is one of the most developed nation in the world with the capital income of more than USD40,000 per head which is 7 and 2 times than Malaysia and Singapore respectively.. The Switzerland is practicing 5 languages including English because the later is the most important international language in the world. The Switzerland indeed is the most peaceful country in the world even becomes dream-land for many Singaporean leaders including her former PM Mr. Gog Choke Tong.

Had my primary education in the early 70s — a national type school. Were friends with everyone back then. My best friends were Malays, Indians and Chinese. Only felt left out when I did my form 6 and took up World history — was ostracised by the other Malays b'cos I refrained from doing Islamic history. What the…? But I didn't feel any love lost there. My non-Malay friends were always there for me. They still are. The Malays need to start competing with other Malays first b4 thinking of other ethnicities as threats. The Chinese and Indians are doing just that! Why harbour bad feelings for our own weaknesses?

I feel that the existing plan is still an appropriate education policy that the majority of Malaysians regardless of race and religion agree upon. It is useless to implement single-stream schools if controversies and debates still continue even after the implementation (a good example would be the English & Science in Maths policy which backfired after awhile). I must agree that education is one vital factor that could unite Malaysians as 1, yet there are many other ways to unite Malaysians. Single-stream schools may exist provided vernacular schools are not abolished. We must remember the struggles from the Chinese, Indian and non-bumi NGOs in preserving their education system. Malaysians – Malays, Indians and Chinese will lose their identity if the single-stream school policy becomes a mandatory. Through education, the younger generation of Chinese, Indian and Malay are able to absorb and learn their respective cultures and values.

Having non-Chinese in Chinese vernacular schools is also actually uniting Malaysians as one. Malay and Indian students are able to learn the positive values of their Chinese counterparts.. and build greater understanding. The same goes to having a non-Malay in a Sekolah Kebangsaan… One must remember that education plays a great influence in the development of a child. This suggestion must not be overlook and simply implemented. My stand is TO PRESERVE vernacular education.

What make Malaysia special in the eye of the world is that we having multi racial Malaysian live together in harmony. In order to achieve 1 Malaysia, we have to came out to brain wash those who really just thinking of their own race and religion. I really got scared with my next generation will be when I thinking of the future of Malaysia. It seems like there will be no more freedom in our own religion or even to have a peace and harmony environment. It seems like we are put into a situation must be in the same religion. I thought religion is something that we used to guide in our lives in this world to prepare for after death and is very personal. But…….. it sees like we have miss concept of the true religion are, that is to live in peace and harmony with all human being and to be close to our creator…. But now it looks like we are being attack using religion the most not by our race.

Having a single stream is a good idea and needs to remain as that ( a good idea)for some time at least. As you have wisely put it it depends on the collective view and that is indeed a right approach to take. But we do need to start at some point. I would like to suggest that all schools especially National ones offer POL (Pupil's own language) classes. Offer Tamil, Mandarin, Arabic, Iban, Kadazan etc as a subject in school for all and make it mandatory for students to take at least one language which is or is not their own! This would not only cause more understanding and tolerance of one another's culture, beliefs and practises but fulfil the real essence of integration which our process of nationhood depends upon. Only that way we can stand tall and unique as a nation that practises integration in every sense of the word.

i truly Malaysian respect the vision on dato seri najib. i foresee he have a view a step ahead. for me, i think that the concept of satu aliran in a drastic implementation is unacceptable to certain groups based on their findings and reasoning. frm what i can comment is that the such ideas should be absorbed slowly to certain schools as to run them or to test the system. rather than implementation like english for math and sains to lower schol are still having interuption toward the student understanding it is still easier in dual language. slowly they can adjust .

salam.. dato seri.. tpm mengatakan ingin meningkatkan kouta pendidik di negara ini, tapi mengapa permohonan untuk DPLI dan KPLI tidak dibuka lagi..kami yang benar2 berminat untuk menjadi guru merasakan tiada peluang lagi dalam bidang ini.dan mengapa tidak diadakan cadangan untuk Guru Sandaran Tidak Terlatih (GSTT) untuk diserap terus ke dalam bidang perguruan?kami hanya perlukan latihan dan latihan itu boleh diperolehi dalam latihan Kursus Dalam Cuti.sekarang semuanya memerlukan Diploma Pendidikan tapi yang tidak terpilih, bagaimana pula?

Salam 1 Malaysia Dato' Seri dan semua, Inilah yang sepatutnya dilaksanakan. Kali ini rakyat minta jasa baik Dato' Seri agar dapat laksanakan 1 aliran. Semua rakyat mahu menjunjung bahasa Malaysia sebagai bahasa Kebangsaan Perlembagaan Persekutuan. Semua rakyat juga mahu berkongsi bahasa Mandarin, Tamil dan sebagainya di bawah 1 bumbung. Sudah pasti banyak kerja menanti untuk kita pergi ke arah itu. Tapi apa kata Kerajaan mulakannya dengan mengadakan pungutan suara agar keputusan yang diterima kelak lebih valid dengan benar-benar jitu dan padu sebagai suara keramat rakyat segenap lapisan. 1Malaysia, Suara Rakyat Suara Keramat.

Dato'Seri,diruangan ini saja saya dapat luahkan perasaan saya terhadap pihak yang terlibat, saya telah dipost ke bahagian yang agak terpencil di bahagian sarawak. Tetapi saya ialah orang sarawak, elaun perumahan saya cuma hanya RM 180.00 sedang bilik sewa sekurang-kurangnya RM 250.00, Di tempat asal masih ada perbelanjaan perlu dibuat (seperti pinjaman rumah dan pinjaman kereta) Saya harap pihak yang terlibat dapat mempertimbang masalah-masalah yang saya hadapi dan dapat menyelesaikan dengan secepat yang mungkin. Don't force one stream on people yet. You have to decide what's good for people. Improve the Sekolah Kebangsaan and people by default will choose SK. I went to visit Sekolah Agama .. and I almost PUKE (muntah kedarah) at the facility that they have. I can put another 2 more school into the school compound. This is wastage. Put quality teacher into SK school, motivate the teachers and student in SK, introduce quality teaching, add more language class like mandarin and encourage malay to learn mandarin … and more quality student will churned out. And they will put their children into SK school in teh future. Do it now.

Jangan pertikai mengenai peranan Felda. Peneroka bukan kakitangan kerajaan yang makan hasil cukai rakyat, mereka dapat imbuhan kerana hasil usaha mereka sendiri, keuntungan dari saham pelaburan Felda dan penjualan kelapa sawit, getah dan tanaman lain akhirnya kembali kepada mereka. Seperti anda kakitangan awam, gaji anda dari duit hasil cukai rakyat, maka ianya amat berbeza. Saya tidak faham kenapa sesetengah kakitangan awam ini terlalu suka mendesak, hasil kerja tidak seperti yang diharapkan oleh rakyat tetapi meminta itu dan ini yang lebih. Dan ada juga segelintir kakitangan awam menyalahgunakan kuasa membelanjakan duit rakyat secara membuta tuli, buktinya laporan ketua audit negara pada 2008. Pekerja swasta biasa lebih bermasalah dari kakitangan awam, nk buat pinjaman payah, gaji pun sikit. Sepatutnya Ahmad Albab ini jangan belajar mementingkan diri sendiri. Tgk keupayaan kerajaan, kita semua tahu ekonomi tahun ini dan lepas merudum, faham-faham sajalah.

saya setuju sangat sekolah satu aliran..pada masa sekarang tidak ramai pelajar dapat menguasai bahasa kebangsaan dengan baik…….bile cerita bab pelajaran saya memang minat terutama sekolah satu aliran ini… cita-cita saya ingin menjadi guru tp buat masa sekarang masih tercari-cari kerja yang terbaik selepas keluar dari universiti maklumlah bukan skop pelajaran..semoga sekolah satu aliran ini mampu memperkuatkan generasi akan datang jati bahasa kebangsaan..

Dato', Saya pernah komen tentang perkara di atas suatu ketika dulu. 1 Malaysia tidak akan berjaya matlamatnya kalau perkara di atas tidak dilaksanakan dari awal kerana: Kita secara tidak langsung mengasingkan diri sesama bangsa kerana bahasa ibunda / perantaraan harian kita. Perpecahan kaum akan terus berlaku tanpa disedari. Tetapi ianya tidak berlaku di Indonesia, kenapa?? Cadangan saya: Wajibkan Bahasa Melayu dan Bahasa Inggeris sahaja dalam bahasa harian kita sesama bangsa. Tiada bahasa lain. Kesannya pada ekonomi, politik, rakyat dan kemajuan negara akan berhasil kemudian. Saya ada kuncinya Sekian pandangan saya.

Antara sedar dan tidak mungkin ramai yang tak perasan dan tahu bahawa ada perbezaan yang ketara diantara undang-undang pekerja yang diamalkan di semenanjung malaysia dengan sabah dan sarawak. Seharusnya undang-undang pekerja ini perlu di selaraskan agar semua pekerja dapat menikmati segala kelayakan yang digariskan oleh undang-undang. Kita boleh lihat perbezaan yang ketara adalah berkaitan dengan had kelayakan tuntutan kerja lebih masa. Kakitangan di Semenanjung had gaji adalah RM 1500.00 manakala di sabah dan sarawak had gaji adalah RM 2500.00. Ini adalah satu kerugian kepada golongan pekerja di semenanjung. saya rasa dengan perubahan ini akan dapat menggalakkan serta meningkatkan produktiviti kakitangan kearah kemajuan negara. sekian, saya berharap YBHG Datuk seri adapat melihat perkara ini secara serius dan mendalam.

Dato Sri, Sebelum menjalankan satu stream, tolong beri perhatian kepada tangungan kewangan yang akan menjadi terlalu besar kepada kerajaan kerana satu stream mungkin akan melahirkan banyak graduan yang unemployable. (2008 unembloyed graduates – Indian (1,000+), Cina (1,000+), Malay (48,000+))

Dato Sri, When I was schooling (SRK & SMK)in the eighties and early nineties there was no racial divide in schools. I had plenty of friends from all races (Malays,Indians,Chinese,Sikhs). My best friend was from the Sikh community. There was no problems, teachers were from all races and none were racists. I obtained A1 in english for SPM just by speaking daily with my friends, no tuition. What went wrong over the years? Compare your stats, those days more pupils were schooling in SRK & SMK instead of SRJK & SMJK. Politics must not interfere in Malaysian education system & teachers must not be political. Go ahead with single stream. There are many people with you on this regardless of race.

Saya dan rakan kaki tangan kerajaan yang lain rasa begitu terkilan, kecewa, terasa hati, terluka hati dan sedih apabila Pak Najib berkata pada majlis Forum Bankers Club, tindakan Cuepacs meminta bonus adalah salah dari segi moral dalam keadaan ekonomi negara yang belum pulih daripada kegawatan global. JELASKAN SAHAJA bahawa keadaan ekonomi negara belum pulih daripada kegawatan ekonomi global dan tiada bonus yang akan diberi. Itukan lebih mudah. Cuepacs merupakan kesatuan yang mewakili keseluruhan kaki tangan kjaan. Kami merupakan kaki tangan kerajaan. I am 11 years old. I want my teachers to continue with Science and Math in English because it is fun and easy to understand. My friends want it too.

I am 16 years old. Looking back, I think I would have preferred to be taught Science and Math in English in primary school, if given the choice. I found the transition in Form 1 difficult and a waste of time re-learning the basics. Learning Science and Math in English will benefit students more in the future.

Salah satu sebab tebalnya rasa perkauman itu datang dari zaman kecil lagi apabila kita diasing-asingkan mengikut sekolah pelbagai aliran. Dalam hal ni bukan sahaja sekolah vernakular mandarin dan tamil tu bermasalah, malah sekolah-sekolah agama, sekolah asrama penuh, mrsm dan uitm tu pon bermasalah juga kerana sekolah-sekolah yang berasaskan etnik ini menguatkan lagi semangat kaum masing-masing..Salahkah kalau kita kurangkan sedikit lapisan-lapisan etnik yang wujud di sekeliling kita dengan adanya satu sekolah yang lebih mengintegrasi antara etnik supaya kita dapat duduk di bawah satu bumbung dan belajar faham dan memahami antara satu sama lain bermula dari kecil lagi.Sekian

sekolah satu aliran adalah terbaik. di Cina mereka maju atas nama bangsa dan bahasa ibunda mereka. Dear Dato' Sri, Towards a high income economy, I think its important that we have a large population base of 50.0 million from the present 28.0 million. We can achieve this in the next 20 years if our population growth rate is above 2%, which unfortunately has fallen from 2.6% in the 8th Malaysia Plan to 1.6% in the 9th Malaysia Plan. A large population base would increase our stature and security in the international arena as well as enable local grown companies to achieve economies of scale as well as increase domestic consumption vis-a-vis less reliance on exports. For this, we should continue to be liberal in our immigration policy for immigrants from Indonesia and southern phillipines due to their easy assimilation to our Malaysian culture. For example, it no coincidence that while South Korea and Taiwan population growth rate is less than 0.5%, Singapore' population is anomaly high at 1.2%.

We do need single stream schools to better integrate Malaysians. It is time to move on and be a global society. The later we start, the harder the journey will be.

Dear YAB Najib, I appreciate your consideration and concern of the poor rakyat in your recently announced budget. However I feel the yearly inspection of vehicles older than 15 years at PUSPAKOM will hurt the poor as they are the ones who could only afford older cars. The yearly vehicle inspection cost would really burden them. I do understand that the above is proposed with road safety and road worthy of those old cars. However, I propose that those old vehicles be checked once in 3 years and not every year. Next, the yearly fee of RM 50 on each credit card would not earn much for the government and at the same time would not hinder the rakyat from using credit cards. I would suggest that a flexible charge is made on the usage of credit cards. Hence, the more they use the card the more they have to pay as credit card facility fees. Thus, the poor pays little and the rich pay more as they use the card more.

I am 14 years old. I hope PPSMI will continue in my school because I think it was easier to learn science and math in English rather than in Bahasa Melayu.

I just read news about 10,000 Bibles being confiscated and I don't understand even with this new ideas about 1 Malaysia concept, but yet we still do not have the liberty or freedom of religion in this unique country of multi-cultures and races that I tresured much. Why we always concentrate on these matter meanwhile we have greater and urgent matters to tackle with.

Continue PPSMI in our school. If as you have said the crux of issue is the future generation, why then was there a need to reverse the teaching of Maths and Science in English. You have a choice of walking the talk – putting people first, and give the parents a choice if the chauvinist want to have specific language [as is the case now] as the medium of instruction, then English should also be introduced as a medium in those schools that want to do so, so that we would have the complete the range of mediums available. Alternative continue with the PPSMI programme, especially after all that tax payers money was spent.

But, we need to have education system overhaul. Suggest: Glocalise British+National Education by making compulsory -BM,Religion,Language + UK twinning Prog teacher training. Better policy decisions between stakeholders – Ed. experts in govt, teacher, parents and students. This is the direction we should be heading. Teaching Science+Math in BI is a step towards there. I believe the issue is not 1 aliran or many aliran. The main issue here is the standard of education the children are getting from the schools. For example, if sekolah kebangsaan could produce students that not only excel academicly but also master BM,english and mother tongue. Over time, I believe parents from different races will be much willing to sent their beloved children to such schools. By improving the standard of education in schools, over time it will help to reduce poverty, improve living standard. One stone kill 2 birds.

Please allow PPMSI be maintained in SK Bukit Damansara. Do not penalise an urban school that has proven to excel in the current English based system.

Berbanding negeri lain yang pesat menbangun pun mendapat bantuan dr kerajaan pusat. Kelantan pn dapat bantuan tetapi berapa banyak???? berbanding negeri lain. Sayangnye negeri yg satu satunya di malaysia yang dikuasai oleh orang melayu jadi macam ini. Kita asik bertikam lidah dalam perlimen org lain tepuk tangan. Mengapakah kelantan tidak mendapat hak mereka?. Kerana perbezaan fahaman politik.

Dear, there no point talking of single/plural school, when root problem past 15years is that the end products after SPM is the Malays are majority uni-lingual or some bi-lingual and hardly tri-lingual. Please revamp the govt kindergarten esp KEMAS where majority Malays sent their kids to begin with, KEMAS must be polished from Melayu image tadika. Start young age 4 of 5, exposure to 3-4languages for that age. At the same time single-stream schools must incorporate 3 major languages for all plus subject to understanding multi malaysia religion race and cultures theory and practical. Dear Prime Minister, I am a concerned citizen who lives overseas, and follows developments in Malaysia. I think that it is important for the future generation to learn English and gain exposure to another language other than their mother-tongue. Children are unique and can always manage as they are like sponges – continually developing as they are growing and gaining experience. By limiting this exposure you will also limit their growth. So continue to teach the subjects in English, and let our future generation have the chance to compete in a global world and bring more prosperity to themselves and Malaysia.

Saya ingin bertanya mengapa harus ada perbezaan antara kelantan dan negeri-negeri lain dari segi pengagihan wang royalti minyak? , kelantan dan terengganu (di bawah pemerintahan PAS) di sebut wang ehsan manakala negeri lain disebut royalti? saya bukan apa, cuma ingin memberi pandangan agar pertimbangan yang waras wajar dilakukan dalam isu sebegini, bukankah petronas telah memeterai perjanjian dengan seluruh negeri pengluar minyak yang mereka akan memberi agihan pendapatan sebanyak 5% kepada kerajaan negeri ketika tengku razaleigh menjadi penasihat petronas sewaktu masa dahulu? Bahasa merupakan asas utama kepada perpaduan. Samada suka atau tidak, bahasa melayu mesti digunakan oleh semua kaum. Dato seri mesti menjadi teladan kepada penggunaan bahasa melayu,tetapi ini tidak terjadi. Sebagai perdana menteri, Dato seri mesti sentiasa berbahasa melayu kecuali melibatkan hal urusan antarabangsa. Berdasarkan statistik di berita TV3 (sebagai contoh), Dato Seri lebih berbahasa inggeris berbanding bahasa melayu, sedangkan Dato seri Ong (Mca) ataupun Dr Koh (gerakan) lebih berbahasa melayu,ini sungguh memalukan. Contoh yang lain, semasa perhimpunan Gerakan baru ini,apakah asas untuk Dato seri berbahasa inggeris? Adakah Gerakan parti kaum inggeris, kaum cina atau sebagainya? Kenapa bahasa inggeris menjadi bahasa perantaraan Dato Seri? Kalau Dato Seri berbahasa Mandarin di perhimpunan MCA ataupun berbahasa Tamil di perhimpunan MIC, kami boleh terima. Tetapi kenapa berbahasa inggeris,kenapa tidak berbahasa melayu? Kami memerhati!

Nampaknya tidak ada bonus untuk kakitangan kerajaan tahun ini. Dato Seri Najib mengatakan adalah salah dari segi moral kalau Cuepac meminta bonus. Saya kurang fahamlah apa yang PM maksudkan. Kalau kita kaji dengan teliti, setelah Najib jadi PM, apakah kebaikan dan manfaat yang beliau bawa kepada kakitangan awam. Yang ada cuma tambah beban kerja kakitangan awam saja dengan mengimplementasikan KPI ini dan KPI itu. Dulu semasa tahun 1997, krisis ekonomi pun Dr. Mahathir masih mampu beri bonus.Nampaknya Najib cukup kurang mesra dengan kakitangan awam.Ingat Pilihanraya umum nanti semua lebih 1 juta kakitangan awam perlu tahun apa yang perlu mereka buat untuk undi yang ada dalam tangan mereka.

Dear Dato Seri, I am proud to be a Malaysian and speak Bahasa Malaysia. But English give me a better opportunity to earn a living. We should continue to teach Math & Science in English. Let us look beyond our shore and be more competitive. We need to survive!!!!

Saya sebagai pemerhati, ingin memberi komen yang mungkin dapat membantu. Sekolah Satu Aliran mungkin tidak akan menjadi satu kenyataan. Mengapa?? Bukan saya tidak menyokong tetapi, subjek yang di ajar di sekolah kerajaan sekarang?? Menjadi tanda tanya. Saya lebih suka sekiranya kerajaan menubuhkan Sekolah 2 Aliran iaitu 1. Sekolah Melayu 2. Sekolah Inggeris Di sini, kita akan lihat, sekolah mana yang akan jadi popular di kalangan kaum. Di sini saya tafsirkan : 1. Sekolah Melayu – 80% kaum Melayu, 10% kaum Cina dan 10% kaum India. 2. Sekolah Inggeris – 60% kaum Cina, 35% kaum India dan 5% kaum Melayu.

Mengapa?? Kaum Melayu tolak dasar PPSMI. Kelakarkan. Kaum Cina dan India ni nampak pentingnya Bahasa Inggeris. Tetapi Kaum Melayu, semua tolak. Sekolah yang popular di mata anak Cina dan India zaman sekarang ialah MGS dan ACS. Mengapa? Kerajaan lihat lah sendiri mengapa ya.. Yang sedihnya, perosak Anak-Anak Melayu ni semuanya datang dari Karyawan-Karyawan Melayu yang fanatik memperjuangkan Bahasa Melayu. Sepatutnya Karyawan Melayu tiada hak menentukan arah tuju pelajar-pelajar zaman sekarang. Mengapa MIC dan MCA tolak sekolah 1 aliran? Fikirlah Sendiri. Apa yang penting sekarang ini, saya mencadangkan dan menyokong sepenuhnya Sekolah 2 Aliran. Kita tengok sekolah mana dapat sambutan. Selamat Berjaya

Based on the ballot paper collected from the parents of the school on last Saturday (31.10.2009). 85.51% of the parents voted for PPSMI. For the future of our children, please allow us to continue with PPSMI or to convert our school to SK(SMI) ie Science & Maths in English

Ucapan PM Dato' Sri Najib berkaitan isu CUEPAC meminta-minta menerusi presidennya memang ada kebenaran. Pekerja swasta banyak merasakan diri mereka tidak mendapat pembelaan. Dalam blog ini ramai pekerja swasta kecewa kerana kakitangan terlalu dimanjakan sampai mereka tidak faham situasi negara. Anda teliti pekerja swasta mendapat gaji melalui keuntungan syarikat, tetapi pekerja awam mendapat gaji melalui cukai rakyat dan cukai dari pihak swasta. Malangnya khidmat tidak seperti yang diharapkan. Memang ini melibatkan moral, moralnya belajar memahami isu negara. Hang Kebun kena faham, kenapa perlu terasa kalau memang betul, saya suka menjelaskan, PM sendiri berkata dalam ceramah tersebut, beliau berharap kakitangan faham dgn masalah ekonomi skrg adalah tidak mampu.

RM500 yang dapat pun masih lagi tidak berpuas hati. PM juga berkata dalam ucapan tersebut kakitangan perlu menghormati pekerja swasta yang setiap hari ada dibuang kerja kerana kegawatan, adalah penting menyelamatkan ekonomi terlebih dahulu agar kakitangan awam dan swasta mendapat manfaat.

Continue PPSMI in our schools. Give the children and parents a choice. If others can have it so can we. At the least those who have started in English let them continue in English.

We can have students in every school select whether they want to study Science and Maths in BM or English. That way we do not need to establish special "English only"""""""" school. Just as Form 4 students get to choose whether they wish to study Science or Arts subject, we can have dual stream within the same school. There will be less segregation then, as students who continue with PPSMI and those who do not are taught in the same school. There is also more flexibility because if a student chooses to study Science and Maths in English and later decides to revert to BM she can continue in BM stream without having to change school. The number of classes teaching Science and Maths in BM or English will then depend on the demand from parents and students. The reason of us reverting back to teaching science n maths in English was b'cos the government had notices the standard of English among our new generation has deteriorate tremendously.But now just b'cos of some group of people who are unable to cope with the changes, the goverment has decided to revert back into teaching science n maths in Bahasa Malaysia.Personnally i dont think this is the right way of handling thing as its like avoiding the problem insteed of solving the problem.

I personally approached and got signatures from 150 parents of SK Kg Tunku, PJ supporting teaching S&M in English. This are from parents (of all walks of life regardless of race, religion & background) that I managed to meet personally who sent/pick their children to/from school. I am sure there are many more in support if we were allowed to do a proper survey and gather feedback. I would support Sekolah 1 aliran PROVIDED such school are run fairly, free from religious, political and racial intervention. Improve on quality of teachers, allow teaching of ALL major languages and religious classes to cater to all major malaysian race/religion.

YB Perdana Menteri Your comments seem to hit the right note amongst us the pro-PPSMI parents. Our education blueprint is one that allows parents choices of education for their children. Our choices should not be dictated by groups of people who used aggresive means to make their voices heard. Based on your assertion, we would like you to give consideration to have SK/SMK (PPSMI) stream including private schools. Since, the anti-PPSMI and the vernacular languages groups already have their choice, please give us back our choice. Your vision of education as the foundation for the future of our country is profound and I salute you for that. Let every school in Malaysia offer the choice of studying Science and Maths in English or BM. The number classes offering Science and Maths in BM or English will then depend on the demand from students. Just like in Form 4 when students are given the option of choosing Science stream or Arts stream. I firmly believe students will perform better when they are given the option to study in the language that they are comfortable in. When every school offers the option of Science and Maths in English and BM, there will not be clamouring to enroll in certain schools that offer Science and Maths in a certain language. There will also be greater flexibility because if a student opts to study Science and Maths in English and later decides to change to Malay school, he will get to change to Malay stream without having to change school.

Good day Dato Seri Single stream education system maybe could be a bit difficult at this point. We can look into that in a few years to come. We should seriously look into maintaining Maths and Science in English. Having a solid understanding of these subjects in English will allow us to compete well in foreign varsities, reach out to international materials for self development, advance further in research and technology and many more. I am one of those rare Chinese who send my children to National schools because I believe it is still the best social setting for my children to grow up in. This is despite the many set-backs in the National schools. However, one of the plus points in National schools has been the introduction of PPMSI. This is in line with making the National schools an attractive choice for parents of all races. However, I was very disappointed when the government decide to revert to the old system. I am adamant that PPMSI should be made optional for schools who choose to continue with it.

I believe you realized how the British tried their best to keep the Malays in poverty and illiterate in the past that the British blcked them from entering English school. Then, as the Malays gradually realized this inequality, they fought for their right and MCKK was born. Sir, do you want the current and the next generation to be illiterate? Dear PM, I am 8 years old student. I really hope that Mr. PM will maintain PPSMI in our school. Eventhough, I like to learn in English but I did not loss interest in Bahsa Malaysia. Sekolah dua aliran pada masa ini bagi saya adalah satu cadangan yang baik. Rakyat diberi kebebasan untuk memilih antara sekolah Melayu ataupun Inggeris. Bagaimanapun bagaimana dengan sekolah aliran cina dan india? Mungkin ianya perlu diperhalusi. Saya adalah orang Melayu, saya terpaksa akui sekalipun banyak mata pelajaran dirangka untuk tujuan yang baik, namun ia tidak dapat dihadam dengan sepenuhnya oleh pelajar. Sebagai contoh, penerapan nilai – nilai sastera didalam bahasa melayu. Ianya sangat baik dan kesannya amat besar dari segi pembentukan jati diri. Namun ianya tidak dapat dihadam dengan baik oleh sebilangan besar pelajar. Secara keseluruhannya, sekolah dua aliran ini tidaklah bebeza. Perbezaannya adalah dari segi bahasa yang digunakan. Didalam sekolah aliran melayu, ada peluang untuk belajar english, cina dan tamil. Begitulah sebaliknya. Apa yang penting rakyat diberi pilihan.

Dear Prime Minister, It's great that you are willing to listen to the rakyat. As a concerned parent and an educationist, I fully support the return of PPSMI for the sake of all Malaysians, irregardless of race and creed. Looking at the current situation in the country, there is an urgent need for our young people to get acesss to knowledge particularly in the field of science and technology. I believe the easiest and most practical means to achieve this is through their mastery of the English language. Many reading materials on science and technology are written in English. The language of the internet is also in English. So there is much to gain if our young people are conversant in English.I hope PPSMI will be reintroduced in the schools again.

Banyak perkara yang harus diperhatikan sebelum melakukan perubahan struktur yang besar. Contohnya subjek Pendidikan Moral di sekolah harus dihapuskan. PPSMI gives our children the opportunity to participate in and compete on the global market, so I feel this was a bold step forward which future generations will reap many benefits from. We are a progressive nation and we need to recognise that without change it is impossible to progress. Yes, there will be growing pains and there will be adjustments needed, but I feel to stop now when the growing pains are on the threshold of bearing fruit would be a shame, and a huge step backwards. We are not neglecting the mother tongue of our nation, Bahasa Malaysia is still a big part of our education and of our lives, a treasured part of our culture and the language of our hearts, but we must admit that in the fields of science and mathematics, our children will be able to go further if they learn it in the language that most of the research and materials are available in. Salam Dato Sri Saya merupakan seorang penjawat swasta ingin mencadangkan sekolah 1 aliran ini wajar dilaksanakan untuk menyatupadukan kaum di negara kita. Bahasa Melayu haruslah dijadikan bahasa wajib manakala bahasa Mandarin dan Tamil dijadikan bahasa pilihan bagi para pelajar. Dato Seri, I came from a small town Kluang, Johor. I'm grateful that my parents sent me to a school which English was spoken most of the time hence Bahasa Malaysia was also well verse among the nons. Today I'm in the corporate world working with so many races and I'm again very greatfull that I speak English. I could interact with people from all over the world. We have to look out side the box and not constrain ourselves into one language whether if you are Malay, Chinese or Indian. Our local schools are teaching all the subjects in BM except for English, Science and Maths. And most of the terms use in Science and Maths are from English. Dato Seri, I love my beautiful country very much. We have to go forward and improve our Educational system. We seriously hope you will look into this expect for our new generation, One Malaysia!

Saya berharap kerajaan dan ahli politik dapat bekerjasama menjayakan perkara ini. Sikap perkauman dan hasut menghasut demi kepentingan kuasa politik akan memecahbelahkan perpaduan masyarakat malaysia. Kalau dilihat generasi muda sekarang ini, banyak yang bersikap perkauman dari sekolah hinggalah ke universiti dan hinggalah dewasa. Agak sukar untuk kita menangani masalah ini. Tetapi kita boleh mencegah perkara ini pada generasi akan datang. Kanak-kanak mudah dibentuk berbanding orang dewasa yang sudah ada pendirian dirinya sendiri. Umpama peribahasa Melayu, melentur buluh biarlah dari rebungnya. Kerana bila sudah jadi buluh sudah tak dapat nak lentur, jika paksa lentur juga ia akan melantun kena kita balik.

Pihak kerajaan wajar memberikan penelitian dalam cadangan tokoh-tokoh akademik berkenaan demi untuk kesejahteraan malaysia. Kepada pemimpin-pemimpin politik, janganlah memainkan sentimen perkauman dalam membicarakan hal ini. Perkara ini perlu dilihat dalam linkungan kepentingan Malaysia dan bukannya dihentam membuta tuli demi mendapatkan pengaruh dalam parti atau untuk mendapatkan undi pilihanraya. Pemimpin-pemimpin politik dan pihak kerajaan mestilah berganding bahu bersama-sama dalam menjayakan sekolah satu aliran ini.

Tujuan penubuhan sekolah satu aliran bukanlah untuk menghapuskan kebudayaan sesuatu bangsa dan memaksa bangsa lain menerima kebudayaan bangsa yang lain, tetapi adalah untuk perpaduan kaum supaya setiap kaum di malaysia merasakan mereka rakyat malaysia. Sekolah satu aliran telah lama disuarakan oleh ahli-ahli akademik termasuklah Prof. Emeritus Dr. Khoo Khay Kim, pakar sejarah berbangsa cina. Sehingga kini beliau memperjuangkan sekolah satu aliran untuk perpaduan kaum.

Assalamualaikum Datuk Seri. Pada hemat saya sekolah satu aliran adalah baik untuk perpaduan kaum di Malaysia. Saya mencadangkan supaya dimansuhkan dan ditukarkan semua Sekolah Rendah/Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) dan (Tamil) kepada Sekolah Kebangsaan. Bagi orang-orang bukan melayu, Sekolah Kebangsaan bukan sekolah melayu, tetapi sekolah untuk semua rakyat Malaysia. Sekolah Kebangsaan tidak akan meminggirkan bahasa dan budaya masyarakat cina dan india. Bahasa Mandarin dan Bahasa Tamil akan menjadi matapelajaran wajib bagi pelajar-pelajar cina dan india di Sekolah Kebangsaan.

Dear Dato Sri, You have taken a big task to for the future Malaysia and all Malaysian. Its good to have science and mathematics in English so that the students up to the world standard. During my period, 1980s, all the subjects changed to BM, and we tried our best to improve in BM end up we don’t bother about English. But when out from school I faced a lot of problems to speak a good English. In my opinion, to make a 1Malaysia become true, let every school teach the 4 language, English, B. Malaysia, B. Tamil and B. Cina as a compulsory subject. Which will make them understand the 4 languages and this will lead them to understand each other cultures very well. I always love my children learn many languages no barrier for that.. Thank you

Kalau kita perhatikan penguasaan bahasa malaysia dikalangan penduduk bukan bumiputera adalah lemah dan ada yang tak mampu bertutur dalam bahasa melayu meskipun lahir di malaysia dan menetap di malaysia selama bertahun-tahun. Mengapakah ini terjadi? Ini terjadi kita terkurung dalam kaum sendiri sahaja. Mengapa kita terkurung, kerana kita sejak kecil diasing-asingkan mengikut kaum. Kanak-kanak mudah dibentuk, sistem sekolah satu aliran untuk membentuk rakyat malaysia sejati yang membudayai budaya malaysia. Kita mesti melihat pada kepentingan umum dan bukannya kepentingan sediri semata-mata. Kerana budi dan jasa akan jadi kenangan kepentingan diri takkan ke mana-mana, akan dikeji maki oleh keturunan akan datang kerana sistem kemasyarakatan mereka rosak kerana penilaian salah dan sikap pentingkan diri kita pada masa ini.

Tahap penguasaan bahasa malaysia pelajar-pelajar bukan melayu agak lemah walaupun tak semua, tetapi agak ramai yang bermasalah dalam bahasa malaysia. Sekolah satu aliran yang menekankan penguasaan bahasa malaysia sejak dari sekolah rendah lagi akan meningkatkan penguasaan bahasa malaysia di kalangan pelajar-pelajar bukan bumiputera. Cadangan Tn. Hj. Alwi berkenaan menghimpunkan pelajar bumiputera dan bukan bumiputera dalam satu kelas adalah satu cadangan yang baik dan dapat meningkatkan tahap perpaduan dikalangan pelajar pelbagai kaum. Saya juga mencadangkan supaya diadakan kumpulan-kumpulan kecil dalam kelas itu yang disertai oleh pelajar bumiputera dan bukan bumiputera semasa sesi pembelajaran. Kementerian Pelajaran perlu mengkaji sistem ini demi kelangsungan perpaduan di kalangan rakyat malaysia. Sekian, terima kasih.

Assalammualaikum dan salam 1 Malaysia Dato Seri, Saya fikir cadangan pelaksanaan Sekolah Satu Aliran adalah rasional dan bukanlah sesuatu yang mustahil. Apa yang penting, sistem pendidikan bersifat adil terhadap semua kaum di negara ini. Berdasarkan pengalaman selaku individu berbangsa campuran (Melayu Cina), saya melihat sekolah pelbagai aliran mempunyai kelebihan tersendiri. Ini kerana saya yang tidak dihantar ke sekolah jenis kebangsaan masih boleh menguasai pertuturan dalam Bahasa Tionghua namun tidak menguasai penulisan dalam Bahasa Cina. Ini menunjukkan kaum Tionghua atau India tidak akan kehilangan identiti bangsa mereka kerana masih boleh berbahasa ibunda dengan syarat ibu bapa mendidik anak dalam bi-lingual atau tri-lingual. Dalam masa sama, Kerajaan perlu membentuk suatu sistem pendidikan yang memperuntukan waktu menerusi subjek bahasa cina dan bahasa tamil bagi pelajar yang ingin mengambil subjek berkenaan.

Dear Dato Seri, For our beloved Malaysia to progress and compete with the rest of the world, knowledge of science and technology is essential. And the latest research and information in all medical and science fields are all in English. Thus we have to equip our young generation with good command of English and maintaining PPSMI is an excellent start and equip them to compete with the rest of the world better. The govt. should not feel the national language will decline. It will not as long as it is made a compulsory subject to pass. All students from all backgrounds will take BM seriously and will strive to learn it. If we feel the rural schools will lose out in PPSMI, then the best option would be to use BM and English for the exam papers and let the schools and parents decide which one to use.

Single stream schools is politically impossible. Allow schools to continue with PPSMI. These schools will naturally become schools of choice and attract all races. Please don't let our chilren's progress slow down for others to catch. Please listen to the more than 90% of parents who want PPSMI. It is for both our children and the nation

Dear PM, I strongly reject the idea of single stream school because bahasa is not the international language .Although I am a Chinese with not much education ,I always advice my children to learn more languages so that they can have a brighter future. If our government think that bahasa is so important then why should the government waste so much money every year sending those student to overseas ? And when they are in oversea do you think what language are they speaking?

it was a really painful experience that i personally went through in the seventies, during the time our prime minister and education ministry converted all teaching medium from English to Bahasa. I was so lost then and required extra effort to catch up in school, after conversion the confidence level had droped tremendously among students. Please keep our future leaders in mind, they don't deserve such treatment.

Salam Sejahtera Datuk Seri, Saya memang menyokong cadangan satu aliran, tetapi perkara-perkara yang perlu diberi perhatian adalah seperti berikut: 1. Mengubah sikap para pendidik Menganggap setiap murid sebagai anak didik mereka tanpa mengira bangsa. 2. Pengasingan murid-murid berasaskan pendidikan agama Murid-murid tidak seharusnya diasing kerana hanya satu matapelajaran tambahan. Murid- murid yang beragama lain harus diberi pilihan atau diasing hanya sewaktu mata pelajaran tersebut. 3 Para pendidik harus mangambil tindakan kepada pelajar yang mengunakan perkataan perkataan yang menghina bangsa lain. Para pendidik harus profesional tanpa menyokong tindakan setengah pelajar yang berkemungkinan bangsa sama. Ini akan menyebabkan timbulnya perasaan rendah diri di kalangan murid-murid yang dihina dengan perkataan-perkatan yang kurang disenangi.

As a Malaysian who love the country and hence wish that our next generation can get the good education, I strongly urge the gov to continue teaching the Science and Maths in English. This is the most critical fundamentals and building blocks to ensure our next gen can be advanced in Science/Maths and technology, and able to compete with others in the world.

Dear Dato' Seri, My children are currently at an international school and now Malaysians are coming in droves after the announcement to scrap PPSMI,providing booming business for the owners. If the well to do can seek this option, I think the rest of the population should be given a chance too!Maintain PPSMI,. The very least let SK/SMKs continue PPSMI. Give it a chance to succeed.

Dato Seri, I implore you to reconsider the continuation of teaching Maths and Science in English and allow parents the right to choose if they would like certain respective schools be granted the right to choose the teaching of Maths and Science in English. Please do not allow the education system of Malaysia to regress and deny children the right to learn in whatever language that they choose because denying the right to choose is stifling and crippling the intellectual development of our children.Your policies totally CONTRADICTS your good wife's efforts in early childhood education whereby a child should be nurtured from an early age so that their overall development are fully addressed. I applaud Datin Seri Rosmah's efforts but Sir, your rigid stance in denying the right of parents to choose PPSMI makes a mockery of your 1Malaysia efforts and your wife's efforts.Please make careful reconsideration sir for the benefit of the nation's children.

Dear Dato Seri. I support PPSMI as I was formerly studying under the education where all subjects are taught in Bahasa Melayu except for English as 1 subject. I struggle through tertiary education and I don't hope the children will go through the same fate as me.

Sebagai seorang bekas kakitangan Kerajaan dan Pensyarah, yang telah berkhidmat selama 35 tahun dalam bidang latihan, adalah lebih baik penguasaan Bah Inggeris di kalangan pelajar kita ditingkatkan. Dengan ini pembelajaran mata pelajaran kritikal adalah lebih mudah difahami. Mengenai sekolah satu aliran, saya lebih cenderung pada masa dulu di mana saya telah belajar dengan bahasa pengantar Bah Inggeris. Ujud nya perasaan perbezaan kaum ialah apabila layanan , keistimewaan, peluang pelajaran, kenaikan pangkat, dan lain-lain diberi mengikut kaum dan bukan berdasarkan prestasi. saya setuju dengan anak sibu. heran betul, pm sebelum nie mampu bagi bonus pada kakitangan awam. pm sekarang tak bagi pulak. kita bukan mintak bonus macam orang lain sampai 6 bulan bonus, cukuplah sekadar yang boleh diberi. cuepacs mintak 2 bulan tapi kalau tak boleh, memadailah dengan 1 bulan. pm tak apa tak ada anak yang bersekolah. kita ni harap duit bonus jer tambahan beli barang anak-anak sekolah bagi tahun depan. Dear Dato' Seri, I am all for continuing the teaching of Science and Maths. in English. I had the opportunity to attend one of the round table discussions organised by Min. of Educ. (MOE for short). However, sad to say that inspite of feedback from companies that they're unable to employ local graduates due to their severe lack of command of the English language, MOE has bull-dozed the switch to bahasa for these two vital subjects. It's very disheartening to know that so much money has gone to waste when this switch takes place. Therefore, I sincerely doubt whether this second round of discussions regarding single stream for all schools would bear fruit. If MOE is not prepared to sincerely listen to constructive feedback, no point holding discussions, waste of time, money and effort. Alice Chan

Dear Dato Seri, Allow SK(SMI) or SK(BM) according to the wishes of parents If kampong parents cannot speak for themselves and if our Minister of Education thinks that BM is good for the kampong schools, by all means abolish PPSMI for them but for schools that have shown success with PPSMI and where the majority of parents wished for PPSMI to be maintained, please give us that option, SK (SMI) Suara ibu bapa sama ada di kampong maupun di bandar adalah suara rakyat. dulu tun dr mahathir pernah cetuskan idea sekolah wawasan, bukannya sekolah satu aliran. tetapi ia di tentang ilah kumpulan kumpulan chauvanist kaum tertentu. walhal sekolah wawasan adalah idea yang baik. sebelum kita melompat ke sekolah satu aliran, saya cadangkan buat sekolah wawasan dahulu, di mana sekolah kebangsaan dan sekolah jenis tamil dan cina di tempatkan dalam satu kawasan yang sama. sekolah kebangsaan, jenis cina dan tamil tetap wujud, tetapi mereka berkongsi padang, tempat rehat, sumber atau pendidik yang SAMA. pada waktu waktu tertentu, adakan kelas INTEGRASI bersama kaum. apabila ini sudah berjaya, secara perlahan lahan kita boleh wujudkan sekolah satu aliran. saya juga mencadangkan setiap anak murid tak kira melayu cina india sekurang kurangnya menguasai 3 bahasa, yakni bahasa kebangsaan, inggeris dan mandarin atau tamil. selain bahasa melayu, kita harus menguasai bahasa teknologi dan bahasa perniagaan.

Dear Mr Prime Minister, We are blessed to live in a multi-ethnic, multi-racial country. While we learn proficiency in the English language as a responsible partner in the global community, we can still banter with our friends and neighbors in BM, and the various Indian & Chinese dialects at home. There are very few countries in the world with multi-lingual citizens such as ours and we should be proud of that! Hence, we should press on with education in the English language as a spring board for our next generation to leave a positive impact in the world at large in ALL fields of importance, while maintaining fluency in the national and other local languages as evidence of a harmonious society comprising many colorful cultures. Otherwise, we are moving one step backward; becoming more inward than outward looking. In short, we will become like the proverbial narrow-minded frog "seperti katak di dalam tempurung""""""""."""""""

Why I want Maths in English. Nine times nine is eigh ty one. (7 syllables) Sem bi lan ka li sem bi lan a da lah la pan pu luh sa tu. (17 syllables) My brain works fas ter in En glish (8 syllables) O tak sa ya ber fung si la gi ce pat da lam Ba ha sa Ing ge ris (19 syllables) Why I want science in English. Easier for me to search for knowledge on the internet as english is the lingua franca for science and technology. Furthermore, most of us would want to further our studies overseas and we would have to learn science over there in English.

Clearly since the lingua franca of Science and Math is English, why do we disallow our children who are doing so well with these subjects in English to continue ? Why are we forcing them to switch to BM when this language is not the lingua franca ? Clearly there are elements of politics in the process of making this decision. The system must provide the avenue for all Malaysians to learn, improve and equip themselves to form the future Human Capital of Malaysia. Teaching Science and Math in English will not relegate the importance, prominence and proficiency of BM. Everything else is taught in BM.

YAB Dato Sri, All levels of the community must be given the opportunity to learn. Understanding that there are many levels of readiness, the government must ensure that the slow will be able to learn at their pace whilst the fast should not be held back just so the slow can catch up. We must always provide the frontrunners with every opportunity to excel and not to slow them down. The decision to teach science and math in BM is on the exact contrary. The policy now appears that we are intentionally slowing down children in the urban areas who are doing well in science and math in English by sacrificing them and reverting to the use of BM so that children in the rural areas can catch up and the divide be shortened. For everything we do, there is a purpose. For education, it should means the pursue of knowledge, to shape up our children to face the future. When we talk about future, I hope the leaders can see at least the challenges ahead, in 10, 20, ….50 years time or longer. It is generally agreed that it would a global competition. For us to achieve the objective, English is the only choice, at least at this moment when our universities is not able to produce graduates with competitive edge. Dear Dato Seri, Please let us continue PPSMI in our school, SMKSH. The children of all races are mainly from English-speaking homes , and converse mostly in English. They do equally well in Bahasa, but the language of choice is English.If you want to see a school where there is a 45% non-malay population come to SMKSH, in hartamas. If you want to see children of all races truly integrated come here. I believe that PPSMI has helped retain these children in national schools, and can be a way to make national schools the school of choice. It is the only stream where there will not be an overlaod of any one race. Please give us the right to choose , as you have given vernacular schools this choice.

YAB, I truly believe the decision made by Tun MM to teach Mathematics and Science in English in Malaysia was RIGHT and it seems so obvious. People who cannot take a little hardship to progress is foolish and to entertain this type of people is stupid. I am 12 years old and i'm going to form 1 next year. I don't want to do maths and science in bm at all! I only speak english at home. All my friends in school speak english,whether they are malay,chinese or indian. We can speak bahasa,but we all prefer english. We are in a government school. I want to be an automobile engineer. It is easier to study physics and maths in english,so that when i go overseas i won't have to switch languages. Some of my friends whose parents are rich are going to send them to international school in form 1. My mother says i cannot go because she wants me to learn sejarah and be a malaysian. SO PLEASE LET SOME SCHOOLS CONTINUE WITH PPSMI.

In my humble opinion, it is very important for us to continue to teach Sciences and Math in english while upholding bahasa Malaysia as our national language. We must always remember that in order to be competitive, english is one of the single most important language in the world. I love this country and I am very sad to see more social divide in the society. Right education system is critical for the next generation. If you go to international schools in Msia, you will be surprised to see many malaysian now and many are queing to join the schools. We should ask ourselves Where have we gone wrong? If the public education system is good, there will not be any que in any intl schools where parents have to pay so much money to get the kids in.

Continue PPSMI in schools which have benefited from the policy. In fact,SK/SMK(SMI) if allowed to exist and made attractive enough will eventually be the birth of the single stream school that we all dream of.

Dear Datuk Seri, English is the international language of choice. It seems that going back to BM as the language of instruction seems to be a form of regression not progression. The lack of good English Teachers is because of the fact that English was not emphasised and taught properly for the last 30 plus years. We cannot stay in the comfort zone if we want to progress there have to be some pain before there is any gain. This country must move forward instead of staying the same or going backwards.

I'm a parent for two school going children (one in SK and the other SMK)would like to appeal to the Govt to continue with PPSMI. At least the parents and children shall be given another option ie SK(SMI)and SMK(SMI). If the Govt can allowed other venacular schools SJKC and SJKT,I personally feel there should not be a problem to introduce English school. Salam Dato' Sri, I do beleived the single-stream school is the best option for national unity with BM as main language. But the education system must also emphasized on BI as knowledge language at par with BM. Arabic, Mandarin and Tamil should also be taught as second language. But as you said this single-stream schools could not be implemented now, so my suggestion is continue with PPSMI until such time say 2020 (where all races can accept) the Govt must decides for single-stream education system.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM YAB Dato' Seri, I have studied since 11 and worked in the UK for 15 years yet now all my children are in the national school system which I thoroughly enjoyed when I was young. Unfortunately, Sekolah Kebangsaan has become like a sekolah Agama. Please bring back The English stream to give a chance to the future generation and give them the opportunity like what we had. All races used to mix and we never even knew what race our friends were because it never mattered. So many of my friends have started sending their children overseas and Malaysia will be losing some exceptional talents. I am sure many others would like to go overseas but do not have the means and worst they can't speak English. PLEASE HELP AND REVERT BACK TO MATHS AND SCIENCE IN ENGLISH.

First and foremost, look at our atmosphere. We have to admit that most Sciencetific and Maths terms are in English even if they were to be taught in B.M'sia, the pronunciation is still derived from the English words, so what's the need to change to B.M'sia. Why can't we admit B.M'sia weak point. Even the words 'Sains' and 'Mathematik' come from English! Even in your speeches, you as our Prime Minister used so many English converted words into B.Msia eg: sistem (system), ekology (ecology), talipon (telephone), multimedia (multimedia), perbankan (banking) and so on.

I believe that Maths and Science should continue in English especially in the secondary school level as this will prepare all students for college and university studies. The most up to date knowledge in these fields is all in English. I am pleased that our Prime Minister himself is able to fluently converse in English. That does not make him or any of us less Malaysian. We who studied in english medium schools in the 1960's were truly united – I came from a school where more than 80% of the students were Malays and all the races conversed to each other in English most of the time but we also mingled in Bahasa freely. Let us be free to choose our medium of education. Learning Science and Maths in English is going forward, not making us less Malaysian.

Maths & Science in English of course.The only reason why it will not work on some is simple; plain refusal/reluctance to change; not willing to put in the extra effort. When the subjects are in English, the pupils should make it a point to study and understand the language better, so that they can understand the subjects! As a parent I want my children to continue learning Science and Maths in English. Changing languages halfway is of no benefit whatsoever. Just allow schools the option to maintain these 2 subjects – Science and Maths – in English if the majority of parents in the school want it. The important thing is to let parents – not politicians – decide. There are MANY parents like me who are very unhappy that PPSMI is abolished. This will undoubtedly translate into a significant loss of votes for BN next GE. So please start paying attention to what parents want for their children. We are not demanding for sekolah Inggeris (although that would be ideal!), we only want the teaching of Maths and Science in English to be continued.

Pagi tadi saya telah melawat ke satu sekolah untuk membuat kajian tindakan bagi topik dan laporan untuk kerja kursus seperti yang diarahkan oleh pensyarah kami. Sekolah itu berbentuk SJK(C)yang berbentuk sederhana. Setelah masuk kelas,rupa-rupanya terdapat ramai murid MELAYU dan Murid INDIA di dalam kelas. Daripada keseluruhan, nisbahnya adalah sebanyak 3:1 bagi Murid Cina kepada Murid Melayu dan Murid India. Yang membanggakan saya adalah Murid Melayu dan Murid India ini FASIH dalam Bahasa Cina! Lebih-lebih lagi mereka memang bercampur aduk antara satu sama lain bagaikan satu keluarga yang 'hangat'! Ini memberikan satu pengajaran bahawa walaupun perpaduan dikatakan susah dicapai, tetapi ia dapat 'diamalkan' sajak kecil lagi. Lagi pun, mempelajari bahasa bangsa lain boleh mengeratkan hubungan bangsa antara satu sama lain. Inilah dikatakan 1 Malaysia yang sebenar!

SK/SMK(SMI) Sains & Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris harus dikekalkan. Dalam blog beliau, Perdana Menteri kita telah menolak cadangan sekolah satu aliran sebab rakyat belum bersedia menerimanya. Adakah rakyat bersedia menerima penghapusan PPSMI pada 2012? Kajian yang dibuat oleh Kumpulan Ibu Bapa untuk Pendidikan (PAGE) pada 2008 mendapati 95% ibu bapa menyokong PPSMI diteruskan. Kajian pol di blog Tun Mahathir mendapati 84% warga internet membantah keputusan kerajaan membasmi PPSMI. Hotline Kementerian Pelajaran sendiri mendapati lebih 90% pemanggil mahukan PPSMI diteruskan. Baru-baru ini 7 buah sekolah di sekitar Kuala Lumpur dan Petaling Jaya yang berjaya mengadakan pungutan suara atau mesyuarat tergempar (EGM) PIBG mereka telah mendapati antara 94% dan 98% ibu bapa menyokong PPSMI dikekalkan di sekolah mereka masing-masing.

Kita berterima kasih kepada YAB Perdana Menteri kita kerana menghormati Akta Pendidikan 1996 yang menyarankan murid-murid mesti dididik mengikut hasrat ibu bapa masing-masing. Kami ibu bapa berharap juga agar YAB Menteri Pelajaran akan mencontohi YAB Perdana Menteri kita dalam menghormati hasrat ibu bapa dengan memberi pengecualian kepada sekolah-sekolah yang majoriti ibu bapanya inginkan PPSMI. PAGE merayu kepada YAB Menteri Pelajaran kita untuk memberi pilihan kepada ibu bapa di sekolah kebangsaan dan sekolah menengah kebangsaan untuk menyatakan hasrat mereka menerusi EGM dan Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan (AGM) PIBG sekolah masing-masing. Dengan itu, barulah ibu bapa benar-benar boleh menikmati amanat Perdana Menteri kita dalam 1Malaysia, Rakyat Didahulukan.

Maths and Science in English please. If we are going to spend so much money to get foreign teachers, why not just spend the money to train up teachers, who by virtue of the profession, should be willing to learn. We are in a globalised world. No one is helped by pretending that we can take our time to master the language. We had regressed, and made some steps forward when we introduced English in Maths and Science. The adults give up faster than the children. And please look into the Maths and Science books because the English language in some is quite bad… Thank you.

If we want to produce GLOCAL citizens, please don't move 2 steps backwards after having moved 1 step forward. Its a real shame that we cannot compete in the international arena simply because M'sians struggle with the English language. I interview fresh graduates all the time in my course of work and I must say the standard of English is appalling! Continue PPSMI in schools. I am 12 years old and I am disappointed with the Minister of Education. He did not ask my opinion before he scrapped PPSMI.

Please continue with PPMSI. Investors are impressed with Malaysia and they want to do business in Malaysia because our citizens are well versed in English. As Science and Technology are progressing so rapidly, it will not be cost effective to translate all references into BM. It may even be necessary to study Japanese, Chinese, German but that will most likely be at university level. Also, multi stream education should be maintained. Parents will choose which schools offer a better education. When I was in school, parents choose the mission schools because they offer a high all round standard of education, be it, academic, morals, religion.

Continue PPSMI in schools. The decision to abolish PPSMI was not reflective of the findings at the roundtables. I had attended three of the five roundtables. Divorce politics from education for 1Malaysia to succeed.

Banning Bibles with words that are usually associated with Islam, i.e. Allah, solat,… I assume that the authorities are wary of the reaction of conservative groups if this ban is lifted. Now I put forward this more radical idea : have non-Islamic religious programmes on TV. How about it? Or may be we should throw this topic open for discussion?

Dear PM, your '1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now' is a good concept but I appeal to u that it'll be not just talk but put into effective action in every pillar of society, especially education. Science n Maths are such important core subjects that need to be in English that'll enable our children , thus future leaders to be knowledgeable n competent in a borderless world. Almost everything, from research reports to everyday mundane instruction manuals are in English(even medicine in-the-box dosage/information) . How can we learn, much less compete when we are English illiterate? Do we want to go backward or forward, when in the last 5years the education curriculum has already built a foundation)? Please PM, it is up to u and policy makers to chart the direction of your citizens and nation. Listen to your heart and a sound mind, not cluttered with politics.

Pls continue with PPSMI for the sake of our future generation. If the policy is no longer possible, pls honour the 'start in english and end in english' promise. In his latest comment the DPM had stated that students in form 4 in 2012 will be studying the two subjects in BM. He is renegading on his words. PM, pls look into it. It is ridiculous for the students to study the two subjects in BM for 2 years and then revert back to English in form 6. Pls do not confuse the students and thus destroy their future. English is the language of commerce and scientific communication. The decision to teach Science and Mathematics in English is a good start towards reclaiming Malaysian position in the market place. Dear sir, you have acknowledged that the education system for Malaysian is politicised.For the future generation to prosper in the very competitive world, the best education system is essential. We all know that we need to leap into a knowledge and innovation based economy, this is best achieved by proficiency in English. Let us bring back PPSMI in our school.

Single-stream school system in multi-racial Malaysia is not necessarily better or would enhance national unity. It definitely, however, will dampen the learning process of students whose language at home is almost 'alien' to that in school. The use of more than one language in our educational system does not impede national unity. In our struggle for independence, the components of Perikatan used languages most familiar to the respective communities, to call for unity which was crucial for the achievement of independence. The people accepted readily the concept of unity as the message was brought to them in their own mother-tongue. Hence, the Malays were united under UMNO, the Chinese under MCA and the Indians under MIC. They were further united under Perikatan, and together, they strove for independence.

Dear Dato' Sri, By reverting back to teaching of science and mathematics to our school children in Bahasa Melayu, we are putting a break to our industrialisation programs. Malay civilisation have yet to experience industrial revolution. To my opinion by forcing our young generation to learn science and mathematics in English is akin to letting them feeling the phangs of industrial revolution as been experienced by the children of Europe in the mid 19th century OR children of Modern OR Japan in early 20th century OR the children of Modern China in the 1930's. The children have to go to the hardship of learning new knowledge to prepare them to helm the high income industrialised economy as envisioned by your goodself. I studied in a mission school in the 70's 80's and I hv best friends from all the races. If i was asked for my opinion about having a single stream sch 25 years ago, i'd hv agreed with the idea wholeheartedly. But now, i hv my reservations. The situation in our nat sch today has changed drastically. The administration in most schs are turning nat schs into islamic schs. Everything is about islam. I hv nothing against islam, but u hv to respect the sensitivities of the other races too. For eg, there are posters and murals everywhere of quranic verses. Students are asked to recite these verses when they use the facilities if they want to be blessed. Are u trying to tell the other non-muslim students that they will not be blessed if they do not recite those verses? And another thing, the single stream sch will not do anything for unity if meritocracy is not implemented. The students will rebel and hate their malay friends. In such a situation, i feel a single stream sch will fail.

Dear Dato' seri, please maintain the teaching of Science and Math in English for the sake of our future generation of all races. I would like to see all Malaysians given equal opportunity. However, if some parents are adamant that they be given the right to determine that their children remain uni-lingual, then please give us a choice of SK/SMK(SMI) or let private schools decide which language to teach these two subjects in. Dear Dato Seri, with so many views from Malaysian from all walks of life, I am of the opinion that there is no one solution to fits all. As a parent, I would like to have a choice for my child to be educated in English as the primary medium of instruction (without denying other parents of their wishes to have their children educated in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or Tamil). Bahasa Malaysia must still be taught and mastered in all schools – thus the importance of Bahasa Malaysia as the National language is not diminished. All other streams remain unchanged. We just add English as the medium of instruction as yet another option available to parents who wants their children educated in English. With choices, it removes the controversy of how English should be taught and adopted in Malaysian schools, without having to adopt half measures. I strongly support having an English medium school in Malaysia, as an additional option to the current system.

I'm a student , i agreed and support that ppsmi should be continue , English is important . I really dont know why most of the malay communities not agree with ppsmi ?If I 've given a chance i hope during my primary and secondary ppsmi is used but my primary and secondary past dy . Saya masih ingat kembali ketika saya berada pada waktu tingkatan 5, saya pergi memohon masuk ke sekolah asrama, ketika itu, majority penghuni sekolah asrama adalah orang bidayuh, dan sedikit saja orang iban dan orang melayu, saya adalah antara orang cina minoriti yang menghuni ke sekolah asrama tersebut.. Daripada sana, kerana pernah campur aduk dengan orang bidayuh, terasalah rasa simpati dengan nasib mereka… mereka banyak daripada keluarga miskin.. mujur ada yang di antara mereka yang kerja dengan kerajaan, ada yang sudah jadi peniaga bermodel kecil-kecilan and sederhana. Namun seperti segelintir kaum cina juga, ada yang memang tidak mahu berusaha gigih dengan persekolahan mereka, makanya nasib mereka cuma kerja sebagai buruh kasar dan pekerja kilang yang biasa.

Dengan itu, Saya menyokong penuh dengan KONSEP sekolah 1 aliran, kerana ianya dapat memupuk rasa mesra antara kaum, dan mengurangkan salah faham juga.. ini penting sebagai salah satu asas bagi menjayakan konsep 1 Malaysia.

PM, saya menyokong pengajaran sains dan matematik dalam bahasa inggeris kerana ia akan mendedahkan anak-anak kita kepada terma-terma saintifik dalam bahasa inggeris dan ini akan membantu mereka mempertingkatkan nilai penyaingan di peringkat antarabangsa kelak. Kita tidak boleh melihat pendidikan sebagai satu keperluan setakat kehidupan dalam negara sahaja. Kita harus berfikiran lebih luas dan praktikal.

A Single Stream in English; otherwise a Single Stream with at least mathematics and science taught and assessed in English. Bahasa Malaysia would be compulsory with Mandarin and Tamil being electives. Thank you.

I have been a strong advocate of single stream schools for national unity. I also hope that the Government would continue with PPSMI in our schools for the sake of our future generations. It has already been proven and noted that most of our local graduates are not able to express themselves in English, the global language. Because of the poor grasp and articulation of the English language, we lose out at the negotiation tables of international areana. The level of English of our officers at the foreign office (Wisma Putra) is also not up to mark. These officers deal with the outside world and it's difficult to be diplomatic if you are not able to express yourselves in the right manner and tone. cont next page

How are our children to mix with other races of diverse cultural backgrounds if they do not attend the same schools? They are spending the first part of their waking hours (half a day at school). Hence, schools must be conducive enough to encourage integration among all the races.I tend to agree that most national-type schools are too Malay-centric, if not too Islamic. My daughter's class comprises all Malays. I have brought up this matter at the PTA's AGM every year but I still do not see the difference. She'll be going to Year 4 next year and again the class will comprise all Malays. I hope all of us can put our own ethnic identities aside especially when discussing education, if we are really serious and truly want to see an enhanced national unity.

The root of the problem when PPSMI was implemented was that most of our teachers were not equip to teach in English. That should not deter us. Malaysia as a nation need its people to be conversant in English to compete globally. Taking it on step further as a multi ethnic society I believe that all our children should learn as many languages as possible especially when at a young age they can pick up languages quickly. Mandarin, Tamil, English and BM should be taught side by side in Primary school in line with the 3Rs. In secondary schools, shift focus to the Sciences and Maths which is taught in English.

Dear Dato Seri, I am proud to be a Malaysian. By not studying in Bahasa Malaysia for Science & Mathematic doesnt mean we are not Malaysian or so call no sense of belonging. We have other subjects like Sejarah, Geografi and many more in Bahasa Malaysia. In my school days, the sytem had been changing from English to Bahasa Malaysia and I can tell you the difficulty of me in adapting the words & undestanding of it. I do not mean Bahasa is difficult to understand. As you see, the kids now are well verse with all the Science & Mathematic terms especially the Science subject. I have gone through this and I certainly know the confusion. For the sake of the younger ones, I would sincerely request to reconsider the changing of education system again.

all subjects for all schools should be taught in english b'cau this is and will always b the international language of the world. our mother tongue will be put as 2nd language. standard for passing should b fixed to what points for As & Bs & so on for all schools & no manipulations.

Please continue PPSMI in our schools for the benefit of the children's future.Weed out the lazy teachers who are not keen to upgrade themselves with the English language. The incompetent teachers are the stumbling blocks not the students. Young vagrant children in tourist areas of India can pick up English by being on the street, so don't blame the children that they can't cope. It is the lazy teachers who are overfed and having too much holidays who do not want PPSMI. Malay will not die due to PPSMI. Secondly, single stream schools will not be accepted until the there is equal oppurtunity for both students and teachers to excel and be rewarded accordingly. Can you give the statistics of Non Malay Headmasters in the National Schools? If your gov can eleminate the above mentioned disparities then Single stream schools are possible.

Bahasa Melayu has and never will be an international language. Moreover it is not suitable for the sciences, business and IT. It is best the government revert to English if it wishes Malaysians to be competitive.

YAB, greetings from a citizen who has never spoken out before. Abandoning PPSMI to some people is akin to psychological and intellectual shackling. It will drag the proverbial frog under the proverbial coconut shell. Having said that, I do acknowledge that it is not for everyone. Each student will have his/her own goals, needs and strengths. Please consider allowing each student to choose which language he/she wants. It will be a significant undertaking, but I have no doubt it is achievable under your capable leadership.

My son is in the first batch of students being taught Maths and Science in English and I am proud to say that he has adapted well in school and is an ardent reader. If English was taught as just another subject in school, his passion for reading would have been limited to just Chinese books because he is in the Chinese Medium school. I think teaching these 2 subjects in English should be maintained as it is the best decision ever made in the history of Malaysia education!

Salam..YB Dato'Seri Saya manusia kerdil tapi ada tersirat untuk memberi pandangan mengenai satu aliran dalam pendidikan.Semasa orang tua saya bersekolah dalam tahun 50an ke 60an dlm aliran Inggeris apa yang menarik kepetahannya berbahasa Inggeris walaupun hanya bekas tentera berpangkat rendah. Zaman saya bersekolah 70an saya sendiri tidak lancar berkomunikasi kerana berubah aliran sistem pendidikan.Lihatlah stastitik perbezaan kemahiran asas berbahasa dan ramai seangkatan dgn saya tidak fasih berbahasa dan peluang pilihan kerjaya sukar era 90an.Sebagai PM kajilah 10 ke 20 tahun yang mendatang kemana bayi2,anak kecil kini hadapi perjuangan hidup mendatang.Apa bangsa biar satu aliran,bahasa ibunda kaum dikekalkan,Bahasa Melayu tanda perpaduan 1Malaysia,bahasa Inggeris bahasa komersial. Tapi YB jangan terlepas pandang dalam globalisasi terkini negara China tidak mustahil menjadi nombor satu(1) termaju didunia dalam masa terdekat mengalahkan Amerika dan Eropah. Renung2kan Dato Seri.

Dato Seri, 2 orang anak saya bertuah kerana dapat melalui program PPSMI yang diperkenalkan. Kebolehan mereka memahami math dan science dalam bahasa Inggeris membanggakan, berbanding dengan saya semasa saya seusia mereka. Mujurlah mereka mendapat guru yang boleh mengajar dalam bahasa Inggeris dan mungkin juga membantu semasa di pra sekolah saya masukkan ke tadika english medium. Tetapi, sebilangan besar pelajar seangkatan dengan mereka TIDAK mendapat guru yang boleh mengajar dalam bahasa Inggeris dengan baik dan tidak mendapat pendedahan awal semasa pra sekolah menyebabkan penguasaan bahasa Inggeris mereka lemah. Pandangan saya, anak-anak boleh mempelajari Sains dan Math dalam apa bahasa juga asalkan mereka mempunyai pendedahan awal dan berterusan. Perkasakan kebolehan guru yang mengajar dan dedikasi mereka. Hanya guru yang berkualiti menghasilkan pelajar berkualiti. Teruskanlah PPSMI, jangan dihentikan. Tingkatkanlah membudayakan Bahasa Melayu.

I strongly encouraged that the current system PPSMI be continued for the sake of advancement and competitiveness in the international arena. Technology is still advanced in the western world and any info that floats on the internet is mostly in English. We do not live alone in isolation. We need to connect with the rest of the world because of globalisation and international trade. This is inevitable. Malaysians have an edge over many Asians for we are proficient in at least 3 languages. Let us not politicise education anymore. We shall move forward valiantly. Going forward is always a challenge but we shall persevere. Looking forward to greater technological advancement, and with collaboration with foreign investment, let us all improve further in green technology, which is vital to our future generation. Knowing more than 1 language does not make us less patriotic but put us on the communicative competence platform thus economic prosperity and improved intercultural relations.

YAB Prime Minister. I am a mother of 3 school going kids. I was educated overseas (US) on a scholarship given by the University. During my Uni days, I have interacted with our fellow Malaysians who are on govt. scholarships and even during those early years of 80s, our fellow students command of English is marginal and they were often teased by the Amercians. Sadly, over the years, I see our citizens' command of English deterioting. If our Govt. is moving along to continue and ignore the importance of English, and be blindsided by politics, I see no future for my children here in Malaysia. We must do the right thing. Please continue to use English for the Science and Maths subject.

Dear Prime Minister We are appreciated that you are willing to listen to the rakyat. I sincerely hope that the English teaching in science and maths must retained in Secondary school(ie. begin from Form 1)since we going to use english in F6 and Universities, then why don't we start earlier. It's good and a need for our young generation to prepare early as many..in fact most of the reading materials on science and technology are written in English as well as the internet, there is an urgeful need for them to start learning science and maths in Eng earlier in order them to master their subjects well. In fact, all my friends even Malay also very support the return of PPSMI.

Please continue teaching Science and Mathematic in English for the benefit of the children whose our future leaders.

Dear Prime Minister, I am a ten years old Std 4 Student. I understand from my mummy tht we are goind to switch to BM in science and maths when I study F1. I'm very sad and unhappy to hear that because i'm now learning Science and math in English and I love the subjects very much. I hope it will continue since we are familiar to study english in Science and Maths. Thank you.

I am a Form 4 student in SMKSH. Retain the teaching of Maths and Science in English. Changing the medium back into mother tongue is a step back. To say that we cannot cope with an English medium of instruction is an insult, as it implies we do not have the mental capacity to learn the international terminoligies required. English is the most widely used language in the world, and is the international language for trade. How do you expect us to compete internationally when we are busy trying to communicate to people in language they don't understand? We're going back to the ice age.

I would opt for Maths and Science subjects to be taught in English. The other subjects could be taught in BM. For us that have gone overseas and study, it is no doubt that our English have to be good and up to standard. It is a pity sometimes we hear our fellow Malaysians could neither speak good English nor BM. How do we compete internationally ?

Dear Dato Seri, I am 45 years old, the best time of my school is during primary and secondary 1971-1981. My schoolling was in Kluang, Johor and still hold old photos where my school mates are multi ethnic and racial. We have our differences but have common comraderie. Our present school system has become totally political and religious in nature. There is no 1Malaysia spirit and will be impossible to instil 1Malaysia. I implore you to seek courage and determination to break these shackles that is ruining this country. I proposed a total revamp of the MOE to reflect the 1Malaysia composition of our society. I support the implementation of a singular stream and the preservation of mother tongue language and the emphasis of Bahasa Malaysia and English as both language for business, math and science. Give both parents and children the option. I can imagine in 20 years time, youthful Malaysian would emigrate to Singapore, HongKong or China for better career pasture.

I support that the subjects of Science and Math to be taught in English. English standard of the new generation is rather poor. Some cannot write or even speak proper English. The spoken and written English of some local graduates is so horrible.

Sekolah 1 aliran hanya akan berjaya jika mediumnya ialah Bahasa Inggeris dan subjek agama semua kaum diadakan untuk tempoh masa yang sama. Sistem sekarang memang memihak agama Islam. 95% sekolah kebangsaan mengamalkan subjek Bahasa Arab utk murid darjah 1 – 3 selain daripada subjek Agama, dibandingkan dengan hanya 1.5 jam sahaja untuk subjek Sains. Ditambah pula dengan program J-Qaf untuk murid Islam. Diketahui umum murid Islam juga mengikuti sekolah agama selepas sekolah. Bayangkan : sekolah agama + subjek Agama + Bahasa Arab + program J-Qaf di Sek Keb … Ini semua melibatkan masa dan tenaga guru. Patutlah rakyat Bukan Islam tidak senang dengan sistem Sek. Keb… Setiap period dimulakan dengan doa panjang… kalau ada 6 period sehari, 6 kali doa panjang… sampai anak sayapun boleh hafal… mestilah ada ibubapa yang resah…!

Dear PM I have written to the Letters to Editor suggesting the creation of a school of choice where science and mathematics are taught in English from Year 1. This is the only way forward, to integrate our children of different races. let the benefit speak for itself. Just create one primary and ine secondary school at each district to cater for this as a start. lets see the multiplying effect later. We want the parents to see for themselves. DSN boleh bandingkan sikap kaum bukan melayu produk sjk dan sek keb, Memang wujud berbeza dari sikap dan tingkah laku. Sikap perkauman wujud disini sejak awal. Di Singapore walaupun di dominasi oleh orang cina tak wujudpun sekolah aliran cina, Indonesia dan Thailand hanya ada 1 aliran. Continue teaching Science and Mathematics in English. Students will be facing difficulty if there's a sudden change. This is most people's wish. Maintain Science and Mathematic in English. The government should not change the language to Malay just because Malay students are having difficulty in learning. This action is unfair for both Chinese and Indian students. Assalamualaikum Datuk Seri. Terdapat banyak komen dari pengunjung blog Datuk Seri yang lebih suka pengekalan dasar PPSMI. Saya sendiri menyokong dasar ini demi faedah kanak-kanak sekolah. Lagipun yang menentang sebelum ini dan berdemontrasi di jalanan mendesak pemansuhan PPSMI bukannya pelajar-pelajar sekolah tetapi golongan dewasa yang telah tamat sekolah rendah dan menengahnya. Pelajar-pelajar di sekolah lebih selesa dengan PPSMI, tetapi golongan dewasa berkenaan mengikut pandangan mereka sahaja. Kita perlu sedar yang bersekolah ialah kanak-kanak dan remaja. Kita perlu bentuk mereka menjadi insan yang berkualiti.

Begitu juga dengan harga gula, tepung, beras, ikan, ayam dan lain-lain lagi dinaikkan sesuka hati oleh peniaga tanpa menghiraukan kesengsaraan rakyat berpendapatan rendah, tindakan yang diambil umpama melepaskan batuk di tangga sahaja oleh pihak berwajib. Pihak-pihak berkenaan hendaklah jujur dalam menjalankan tugas seperti yang diamanahkan. Kasihankanlah golongan berpendapatan rendah yang tertindas. Pembeli terainaya terpaksa bayar sewa rumah dan bayar pinjaman bank, tetapi sia-sia rumah tiada.

Kita mempunyai keupayaan dalam menjayakan perkara ini jika adanya kesungguhan dari pihak yang berkenaan. Selain itu, selama ini IKM, Giat Mara, IKBN, Kolej Pertanian Malaysia, Sekolah Vokasional didominasi oleh pelajar-pelajar bumiputera sahaja, penyertaan oleh golongan bumiputera jarang-jarang kedengaran dan sehingga kini tak pernah lagi saya dengan pelajar bukan bumiputera di sekolah-sekolah berkenaan. Saya mencadangkan juga supaya golongan bukan bumiputera juga dilibatkan dengan sekolah aliran kemahiran ini. Bukan semua orang bukan bumiputera orang kaya, ada juga yang tak berkemampuan. Ini perlu kerana ia selaras dengan gagasan 1Malaysia ketika ini. Sekian, terima kasih.

Selain itu juga pelajar-pelajar kategori yang minat kemahiran akan dapat terus meneruskan persekolahan mereka dengan lebih cemerlang kerana sistem persekolah tersebut yang menarik minat dan meningkatkan motivasi mereka. Masalah keciciran persekolahan dan remaja terjebak dalam kegiatan penagihan dadah atau jenayah akan berkurangan kerana didikan yang baik akan menghasilkan pelajar yang berkualiti intelektual, kemahiran dan akhlaknya. Saya amat berharap agar Kementerian Pelajaran supaya meneliti cadangan ini sedalam-dalamnya demi pembangunan modal insan seperti yang gagaskan oleh kepimpinan sebelum ini.

Bagi pelajar-pelajar yang keciciran dalam pelajaran selepas darjah enam kerana kurang minat dalam bidang akademik sepatutnya diberi peluang mengikuti aliran pendidikan yang sesuai dengan minat dan keupayaan mereka. Saya mencadangkan semua sekolah-sekolah kemahiran seperti di atas mengambil pelajar-pelajar bermula dalam tingkatan satu lagi. Negara kita terlalu bergantung kepada buruh asing dalam bidang perkilangan, pembinaan dan pertanian/perikanan. Jika kita dapat membentuk buruh mahir di kalangan rakyat kita, pengaliran keluar wang ke negara asing akan berkurangan selain dapat membentuk negara kita menjadi negara maju selaras dengan wawasan 2020.

Assalamualaikum Datuk Seri. Sebelum ini saya telah bangkitkan berkenaan sekolah aliran kemahiran untuk pelajar-pelajar kategori bijak kemahiran tetapi kurang dari segi akademik. Saya berharap agar sekolah kemahiran ini dapat direalisasikan kerana faedahnya banyak pada negara dan para pelajar. Mungkin akan ada yang berkata sudah ada Sekolah Vokasional dan Sekolah Teknik atau Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara atau Kolej Pertanian Malaysia, Institut Kemahiran Mara, Giat Mara dan lain-lain lagi. Tetapi pelaksanaan pembelajaran di tempat-tempat berkenaan adalah bermula pada tingkatan empat atau selepas tamat tingkatan lima dan penyertaannya agak kurang melainkan Sekolah Teknik kerana ia sekolah ketegori elit.

Dear Datuk Seri, As a secondary student currently in Form 4, I am pleased with my performance of Science and Maths in English. I first learned my Science and Maths in BM in primary school. However, when the switch to English began when I entered Form 1, I felt that it widened my perspective on the world and enabled me to communicate with other students and people from all around the world in English. Our country has benefited and prospered with the usage of English in the teaching of Science and Mathemathics. Therefore, I feel that students should at least be given a choice whether to learn Science and Maths in English or in bahasa Malaysia. It will by no means diminish our patriotism. Saya bangga menjadi Anak Malaysia yang bertutur dengan fasih dan menguasai Bahasa Malaysia walaupun mempelajari Sains dan Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris. Oleh itu, saya berharap agar Datuk Seri memberi satu peluang yang adil kepada semua pelajar untuk menentukan masa depan mereka sendiri.

Dato Sri, Kempen satu sekolah untuk semua telah dimulakan sejak beberapa bulan yang lalu oleh para pencinta perpaduan nasional. seperti tajuk saya diatas, adalah moleknya sekolah satu aliran dilaksanakan. saya sebagai staff kesihatan agak terkilan dengan segelintir 'keluarga senegara' yang mana sudah hidup dimuka bumi Malaysia selama 50 tahun tetapi tidak mendalami bahasa kebangsaan. seperti dijepun, sebilangan besar rakyatnya tidak fasih berbahasa inggeris, walaubagaimanapun, masalah mereka boleh diatasi dengan memartabatkan bahasa mereka sendiri. Selain dari bidang pelajaran, komunikasi juga penting didalam bidang kesihatan. Jika semua rakyat dapat mendalami bahasa kebangsaan, saya rasa urusan kesihatan mereka lebih lancar dan berkesan. kesimpulannya, teruskan perjuangan dalam merangka sekolah satu aliran… martabatkan bahasa kebangsaan.

Dear Prime Minister I want the maths and science in English because I am already used to English so it would be hard for me. There are already like 7 subjects in BM and only 3 subjects in English (for tahap dua) so its like unfair if you change it. It'll be like 9 BM and 1 English.

Salam Dato Sri. Semangat cinta dan sayangkan negara yang tinggi adalah penting untuk melaksanakan sistem pendidikan 1 aliran ini. Mungkin kena tunggu saja peningkatan kaum bukan Melayu yang menyertai polis dan tentera meningkat dan masa itulah sesuai dilaksanakan sistem 1 aliran ini. tapi entah bilakah agaknye? Sebagai bekas menteri pertahanan tentunya Dato Seri tahu peratusan bukan Melayu yang menyertai pasukan ini. Atas sebab apa, kita pun kurang pasti. Kerana gaji kecil atau kurang patriotik? Saya amat-amat bangga dengan langkah kerajaan unuk membatalkan PPSMI dan menjalankan sekolah 1 aliran bagi menjayakan program 1Malaysia. Saya telah lama melihat maslah ini dari dulu lagi tetapi ada yang tidak setuju ada sebab-sebab peribadi masing-masing. Kenapa perlu Bahasa Inggeris . Ini banyak masalah kepada orang Melayu. Banyak orang melayu sokong PPSMI sebab alasan esok susah dapat kerja. Ya memang esok susah dapat kerja kerana orang Melayu hanya pandai cakap melayu. Sedangkan majikan mahu orang yang boleh berkomunikasi dengan lebih dari satu bangsa yang ada di malaysia iatu orang cina dan india. Jika anda pandai berbahasa cina dan india perlukan lagi bahasa Inggeris. Jadi untuk menyahut seruan kerajaan sekolah satu aliran maka ini merupa titik awal untuk rakyat malaysia terutama orang melayu untuk menguasai bahasa orang cina dan india mahupun bangsa lain di malaysia.Ini baru lah betul-betul i malaysia

Dear Prime Minister, I fear for Malaysia competitive ranking is sliding. In the course of my work, I cannot help but notice that many Cambodians, Vietnamese, Chinese are dying to learn English, and yet we are just giving English away that past generations used to have a strong command. Having strong command of English does not make us any less Malay, Chinese or Indian etc. It makes us more competitive with ease of acquiring knowledge. If not for language, parents including ministers, would not be sending their children to overseas for further studies. I trust your judgement to do the right thing.

Untuk kali ke-4,permohonan isteri saya untuk mohon pindah mengikut suami di Felda Jelai,Gemas,Negeri Sembilan tidak diluluskan,sedangkan beliau telah memenuhi syarat-syarat utama,iaitu telah berkhidmat 9 tahun(7 tahun di Selangor),bersendirian dalam kesakitan menjaga 2 orang anak kecil(setahun setengah dan 3 bulan),tidak dikenakan tindakan tatatertib,tidak bercuti tanpa gaji,tidak dalam tempoh cuti belajar.Malah,saya sendiri dimaklumkan terdapat kekosongan guru sekolah kebangsaan berdasarkan unjuran nisbah guru dan murid. Salams Dato Seri, Pada zaman seseorang perlu mempunyai kebolehan dalam 3 bahasa, mengapa hendak memundurkan rakyat terutama kaum Melayu dengan pendedahan 1 bahasa sahaja.PPSMI adalah cara yang tidak menjejaskan mertabat Bahasa Melayu. Tenaga pengajar sudah mula membiasa dan menajamkan kefahaman mereKa dalam PPSMI,PPSMI baru berumur 6 tahu lebih kenapa 'flip-flop' dan hendak melaksanakannya pada 2011 setelah BERJANJI pada 2012?

I heard the PM statement about the government officers asking for 2 month bonuses. PM state the 'it was morally wrong to ask for bonuses during this hard time'. The translation to malay is wrongly translate. It was translate to 'it was seems that government officers do not have morals for asking 2 month bonuses during this hard time' (perkhidmatan awam dirasakan tidak bermoral dengan meminta bonus untuk 2 bulan dimasa kegawatan ekonomi). I hope the translation must be equal to the meaning the PM want to say. Pm does not want to call public servant no moral at all. He was telling that it was morally wrong/unethically to ask for bonus. This i think the BEST meaning. I hope all can understand the real meaning behind the statement.

Salam Dato'Seri,saya begitu kecewa apabila mendapat tahu permohonan pertukaran isteri saya dari Johor ke Trg tidak diluluskan.Adakah pertukaran ke Trg dibekukan…utk pengetahuan Dato' Seri saya dan anak saya mempunyai penyakit lelah dan kerap kali ke hospital dan klinik malah pernah masuk wad di hospital.Surat pengesahan dari hospital juga sudah ada tapi adakah itu tidak cukup…malah arwah adik saya sendiri meninggal dunia akibat lelah pada usia 21thn.Adakah bila berlaku sesuatu kepada kami baru tindakan pertukaran itu diambil.Penjagaan daripada seorang isteri dan ibu penting bagi kami yang mempunyai penyakit ini.Entahlah sudah lali mendengar konsep rakyat didahulukan..mungkin hanya utk menarik perhatian rakyat shj.Diharap Dato' Seri buktikan yang konsep rakyat didahulukan benar-benar diperjuangkan oleh Dato' Seri dengan penuh keikhlasan..

YAB Datuk Seri,saya menyokong penuh sekolah satu aliran.saya cadangkan perkara-perkara seperti berikut:1.bahasa pengantara utama semua sekolah mestilah Bahasa Kebangsaan iaitu Bahasa Melayu.2.bahasa Inggeris merupakan subjek wajib bagi semua pelajar.3.bahasa Mandarin, Tamil dan Arab ditawarkan sebagai mata pelajaran pilihan kepada semua pelajar (subjek2 ini dimasukkan dan diwajibkan lulus dalam semua peperiksaan UPSR, PMR, SPM & STPM).4.Pendidikan Islam diwajibkan kepada semua pelajar beragama Islam tanpa mengira kaum, manakala mata pelajaran Moral diwajibkan kepada pelajar bukan Islam (subjek2 ini dimasukkan dan diwajibkan lulus dalam semua peperiksaan UPSR, PMR, SPM & STPM).5.mata pelajaran Matematik, Sains, Geografi dan Sejarah dimasukkan dalam peperiksaan sebagaimana amalan masa kini.6.diperkenalkan subjek kebudayaan yang digubal selaras dengan Dasar Kebudayaan Kebangsaan. sekian.

Salam PM, Firstly, thank you for listening to the voices of the citizens of Malaysia. About the education system in Malaysia, it doesnt really matter whether it is a single stream or not, though that does helps to contribute to higher integration between races. There are a lot of other factors that need to be taken into consideration if a one stream school system wants to be implemented, particularly religious issues.

What matters most is the quality of our education system. We want to compete with other developed countries like the UK, US, and Australia, but we don't have what it takes to be there and compete with them, particularly the quality needed among younger generations. I read in the papers recently that Malaysia wants to change the grading system for SPM with the intention to find best students to enter universities. Personally, I don't think that is a smart thing to do. By implementing such system, students are not going to work harder to achieve an A+ ranging from 99-100%. It is just too difficult for them, and the pressure will be too great on students.

In this dynamic world today, we are looking for candidates who could think creatively, and could think outside the box. But I reckon by implementing such system, students will tend to memorise what they have been learning rather than understanding the concepts. If the exam questions are being twisted, most students will probably fail to answer them. Why? Because they don't actually understand what they have been learning. Eventually, by the time they enter the workforce, they don't know how to settle issues that are outside the scope of textbooks. They become a generation of puppets who need to be told what to do all the time. They need to be spoon-fed by their bosses all the time. Why could this happen? Mainly it is because of the education system in Malaysia. It is not encouraging students' creativity. The effect is not in the short term but in the long term, towards future generations.

It is good that case studies and examples of what's actually going on in the real world are starting to be applied in universities, but at the age of 18 or 19, once an individual is used to one type of system, it's hard to change him/her to be more flexible and dynamic. What most students do when giving examples is that, they'll give the ones that are stated in textbooks because those are the only ones they could actually think of, nothing more. I suggest that teachers should ask students' opinions when teaching concepts, and not just stuff them with theories without applications. Try to understand how students perceive a particular method and guide them through. Not by simply pointing out the solution without them trying.

In some schools, teachers would perform experiments and students could just look and observe, read the textbook and expect to score exams. Learning is not all about memorising. Students don't learn through such way. They should be given the chance to experience what needs to be understood. Hence all schools need to be fully equipped with the things needed for student learnings. Not just selected schools or boarding schools or private schools. The simplest real life example I could give is, could one know how to ride a bike by just reading the instructions or books on how to ride bikes? Certainly the answer is no. One could only learn if being taught and try to ride a bike himself/herself? The same concept applies in student learnings at schools. If we want a better generation, we should start from the very bottom.

In the long term, the government would also benefit from the outcome, as there will be a new generation born with quality, creativity and more integration. In the end, students will be more outspoken and more confident to voice out their opinions. The problem with our people is that, we are just too reserved to do what's right, and we couldn't accept criticisms from others. We always wait for others to do something, then we tend to imitate or copy them. Even if we do try to imitate, we do it halfway. When there is the slightest obstacle, we back off and give up. For an example, it is decided for Math and Science to be taught in English. Yet, after a few years, we plan to change the teachings back to Malay. The question is, are we already giving up when this is just the start?

True, it's going to be rather difficult in the early stages, but things will be easier in the end. By the time students enter universities, teachings are being done in English. No matter what, they have to face it. When students are sent overseas to further their education, they find it rather difficult to cope. Local students could voice out examples relating to the real world, consistent to the concepts they had learned. But Malaysian students, as expected, give textbook examples. How are we going to be competitive if this is the case? We could develop a better generation if we just stay focus and do what's right. That is all from me. Thank you very much for listening. assalammualaikum Dato Sri,saya Roslan bin Zen tujuan saya di sini iaitu ingin mengadu tentang permohonan syarikat kami telah di tolak oleh Pengarah Pusat khidmat Kontraktor(PKK)Cawangan Negeri Sarawak, dengan alasan modal berbayar tidak mencukupi, tetapi kami telah menjelaskan hasrat kami bahawanya kami benar-benar tidak mampu mendapatkan Lesen PKK Kelas E. Oleh kerana lesen PKK kelas F telah di bekukan, kami terpaksa memohon kelas E dengan menjelaskan tentang kedudukan syarikat kami yang modal tidak mencukupi. Sekali lagi kami membuat rayuan secara lisan setelah kami menerlma surat pada tarikh 30/07/2009 dengan nombor rujukan:PKK/s/PB12/5/2009/e(200909861) namun rayuan kami tetap di tolak dan tidak diberi peluang langsung untuk kami menjelaskan tentang kedudukan syarikat kami.Kami mengharap jasa baik Y.A.B Dato Sri agar mempertimbangkan masalah yang kami hadapi ini selaras dengan kehendak kerajaan 1 Malaysia, Rakyat Di dahulukan Pencapaan Di utamakan.

Dear YAB Najib. Many parents would work their way out to ensure their child is enrolled in the so called 'Sekolah Prima'. To them getting their children registered in such schools is 1/2 the battle is won.No doubt, many of those students registered in 'Sekolah Prima' have good grades in their recent public examination. However, there are quite many students in such schools do not posses good results.Nearly all those Prima schools have the required infrastructure and other facilities.

Are these enough to produce quality and dynamic students who would eventually perform well in the next examination? The answer is a definite NO. There are students who do very badly from the so called 'Sekolah Prima' and there are students with excellent results coming from ordinary schools. The reason for that is we have lazy and incompetent teachers everywhere. There are too many teachers taking maternity leaves where they would be away for more tham 3 months. During this period a replacement teacher would be assigned.

Normally, these teachers would not be as competent or as concerned as their initial teachers.The students too need to to critically assessed. It could be noticed that the secondary school students normally get involved with specific group of friends and eventually it might lead to gangsterism. It is rampant not only with boys but also involves girls.

Assalamualaikum Datuk Seri.. Saya ismail b. md. rafie seorang guru di pendalaman (Sarawak ingin memohon bantuan pihak datuk dalam pertukaran ke Semenanjung. Untuk pengetahuan datuk seri saya telah mengisi permohonan pertukaran dan mengikut prosedur yang telah ditetapkan namun tidak diluluskan. Permohonan pertukaran terpaksalakukan kerana perlu menjaga bapa yang sering jatuh sakit. Dear PM Sir, I am the first batch of students to learn Sc and Math in English in the year 2003. As such, I have studied Sc and Math in English all my life. I am now in Form 1. I know that I can take my PMR and finish my SPM in English BUT do you think that my teachers will teach me Sc and Math in English when I start Form 4 in 2012 ? I think not, I am sure they will use BM and we will have a really difficult time to adjust to all the terms in BM. I understand that there are students who prefer to use BM, Chinese and Tamil for their Sc and Math, well I say give them the choice but please also give me and the rest of my friends the right to choose. Please do not put us through all this. Thank you Sir.

dear prime ministeR thank you for listening to the rakyat. i send my children to international school. this is a very big burden. how many parents can afford that ? please improve the education system especially the standard and quality. english is still one of the most important medium. we always hear that our young graduates can not even speak proper english ! like what many have given feed back, we hope that maths and science can be taught in english. also. please review the international school syllabus and system, we must learn how people run the school and systems. we must compete in the world, we are one malaysia, whether we are malay, chinese, indian or other races. we all want to live in a peaceful and properous country. our children are our future, nurturing them is the only way to grow our country ! thank you.

My Dear Prime Minister, I am a girl in Standard 3. Mummy and daddy says that i will have to learn Science and Math in Bahasa Malaysia when I am in Form 1. Please let me continue in English. Dato' Sri PM, Please allow for schools who do well in PPSMI to continue. Nobody can deny that Sc and Maths are best taught in English, so why is the Government not allowing our children to continue doing well ? We do not stop the rural children to use BM, Chinese and Tamil, so please also, do not stop us from using English. Lets play fair and let the rakyat choose. After some years, you will really be able to decide then what is the rakyat's choice and which schools/languages are best.

Dear Dato Seri, As I has just sat for the PMR, I feel compelled to say that I was extremely glad to be able to learn the Maths and Science subjects in the English Language, for that I am forever grateful. I was absolutely appalled and shocked when I read about the announcement on the reversal of the PPSMI policy. I am ashamed that now my younger 'brothers' and 'sisters'-our future leaders-would be placed at a significant disadvantage in this globalised world. If the single-stream school system is implemented, I am of the opinion that the Science and Mathematics subjects should be taught in the English language to better equip our future generation to better thrive in the 21st century, not for the 20th! I am absolutely sure that if this is done, millions of children and parents would cheer at the thought that our government has given the people a good listening, that the future of all Malaysians and Malaysia would be much brighter.

Jadi untuk mengelakkan perkara ini berulang, kita perlu pada sekolah satu aliran, Aliran Malaysia, bukan Aliran Melayu seperti yang disalah sangka oleh kebanyakkan bukan bumiputera. Sekian, terima kasih.

Minta maaflah saudara/i Super, kita rakyat malaysia, dalam cadangan saya berhubung sekolah satu aliran ini, saya ada nyatakan bahawa sekolah satu aliran bukan berhasrat menghapuskan kebudayaan kaum-kaum bukan bumiputera, kebudayaan kaum-kaum bukan bumiputera akan dipelihara dan dijaga tetapi cuba-cubalah bersikap sebagai orang Malaysia, ramai bukan bumiputera mengeluh mengapa sektor awam didominasi oleh orang bumiputera. Salah satu sebabnya ialah penguasaan bahasa malaysia yang lemah dikalangan mereka, macam mana nak berurusan dengan masyarakat pelbagai kaum di malaysia sedangkan mereka hanya mahir berbahasa kaum sendiri sahaja. Ini adalah realiti, satu pernah jumpa satu kes begini semasa saya di berkunjung di sebuah pejabat kerajaan, lain yang kerani pejabat kerajaan itu tanya, lain yang orang itu jawab sampai kena guna bahasa isyarat dan contoh. Kesian kerani pejabat pendaftaran tu, tapi tetap tolong orang itu juga.

Kalau dilihat berbincangan Prof. Khoo di televisyen atau media cetak, beliau selalu menyebutkan Negara Bangsa. Bangsa yang beliau maksudkan bukan bangsa Melayu, Cina, India, Punjabi, Iban, Kadazan, Dusun atau lain-lain tetapi Bangsa Malaysia. Saya harap Saudara/i Super jangan terlalu bersikap tidak rasional bila membicarakan sesuatu. Sila semak dulu maklumat yang diperolehi samada benar atau tidak dan tidak mengambil sikap serkap jarang dalam menerima maklumat. Ini kerana maklumat yang salah akan menghasilkan perkara yang salah.

Merujuk kepada pandangan saya berhubung sekolah satu aliran. Saya ada menyatakan tokoh-tokoh akademik memperjuangkan sekolah satu aliran untuk perpaduan kaum termasuk Prof. Khoo Khay Kim. Saya tak pastilah samada saudara/i Super ini orang bumiputera atau bukan bumiputera. Untuk makluman saudara/i Super Prof. Khoo Khay Kim memang menyokong dan memperjuangkan sekolah satu aliran dalam bahasa malaysia. Kalau saudara/i tak percaya sila semak rencana-rencana di akhbar atau di majalah-majalah. Jika saudara pernah tengok program perbincangan di televisyen yang melibatkan Prof Khoo, saudara tentu faham bahawa sekolah satu aliran yang diperjuangkan oleh Prof. Khoo dan tokoh-tokoh akademik yang lain ialah aliran bahasa malaysia.

I have to bring out this matter regarding the Sek Jen Keb in Selangor why was there still difficulty in getting their children to enter the school for education. Especially, the father is a Malaysian and the child is a Malaysian too but, his wife / her husband is the foreign people. I seem this is a double standard of citizenship. Why must it be like this. Unless, the Father and the mother is a foreigner that I understood. I beg Dato Sri Najib please help to solve this matter because there are many hundred or millions people of the parents was very angry with this matter. In order to build unity and harmony. This is very important of the rakyat voice but seem nobody care when their children was left in the dark by the education ministry. Salam sejahtera Dato Sri, Disini saya ingin mengutarakan pandangan saya tentang sekolah 1 aliran.Saya amat menyokong penuh sekolah 1 aliran ini kerana kita dapat memperkukuhkan lagi bahasa kebangsaan kita iaitu Bahasa Melayu.Jika kita lihat pada masa sekarang masih ramai lagi yang masih tidah fasih mengunakan Bahasa Melayu,ini menunjukkan kita perlu melakukan sesuatu dengan kadar yang segera untuk memperkayakan lagi bahasa kebangsaan kita ini.Jikalau kita tidak mengukuhkan bahasa kebangsaan kita saya bimbang Bahasa Melayu akan terus hilang atau digelar sebagai dead language.Kita dapat melihat banyak bahasa yang telah tidak digunakan (dead language) dan kita tidak mahu bahasa kebangsaan kita menjadi salah satu daripadanya.Sebagai contoh Bahasa Inggeris telah mengalami pelbagai perubahan seperti Old English,Renaissance English, Anglo-Saxon English dan sebagainya.Justeru itu saya mencadangan agar kerajaan mempertingkatkan lagi usaha untuk memperkukuhkan lagi bahasa kebangsaan kita.

YAB PM, Satu Malaysia does not mean we need to have Sekolah 1 aliran. Thay are totally two different things.In Sarawak we believe in diversity. We respect basic human rights, including the right to choose education system of your choice. This multi racial country will be united, peaceful & prosperous, if we walk our talk… equality to all… no more the non sense favourtism to the elites or the chosen ones

For many Malaysians, an education is a passport to security in their lives in terms of good paying jobs, easier lives, excelling in their lives and many other advantages which one can think of. In short, a brighter tomorrow. In the process of getting that education, Malaysians wish to be treated fairly. If one does well academically, the government should appreciate him or her regardless of whatever differences there are. Appreciation can be in the form of scholarships, further education and so on and so forth. These deserving students work hard by studying hard and pass in their exams. A lot of parents would buy presents to show their appreciation. These students do not waste their schooling years by being lazy, always failing, always trouble making and always giving headache to the educators.

Pendapat saya konsep satu malaysia yang diperkenalkan baik, bagaimanapun saya agak kuatir lama kelamaan ianya menjadi terpesong dari konsep asal akhirnya kearah nasionalisme yang sebagaimana Indonesia. Dimana dasar nasionalisma yang terlampu librel dan akhirnya mendatangkan berbagai masalah yang komplek dan saya rasakan kronik dalam sistem kemasyarakatannya. Diharapkan konsep 1 malaysia ini hendaknya masih perlu pengawalan dan acuan yang selari dengan kehendak agama.

There are many different types of students. Some are strong in theory but weak in practicum. Some are strong in practicum but weak in theory. Therefore a balance must be struck. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Similarly, a student must think of education as fun instead of boring, falling asleep in the class and playing with their mobile phones hidden in their drawers. Educators must be given the time to prepare an interesting class. They must be given the permission to explore all avenues so that the students would absorb in the knowledge and skill. Instead of stopping them in the name of distrust, there must be an environment where teaching and learning will really take place.

Both educators and students learn. It is not only about the students if there is a genuine wish for change. Teaching is the core business but much of the time is spent doing work that is not directly related. The students have no one to turn to but have to be independent enough to seek after knowledge and to spend time polishing their skills. Then there are all sorts of students. From the very bright, alert ones to the very dull, blur ones. The class must be such that the bright ones do not feel bored because they understand everything already and the dull ones do not feel equally bored because they do not know what is going on. Instead of all the doom and gloom attitude regarding passing in exams, the emphasis should be on whether the student have learned. Students who pass do not necessarily mean that they have learned anything.

My take is Science and Maths be continue to be taught in English until a very comphrehensive non-partisan study is done as to the direction we are heading.We cannot be switching every few years. My opinion is the medium of instruction for Primary School Education be in BM except for Science and Maths with Secondary School and above be all in English with BM pass or credit a must to pass Form 5.

Dear Sir, Sabah truly has a 1Malaysia spirit and a real care for our environment. They are alternatives to having a coal fired power plant. Hydro was identified and is in the Sabah Energy Masterplan and Liwagu and Upper Padas and are feasible. And if the Kimanis Natural Gas plant is fast tracked it would take an equal amount of time as the coal fired power plant. They are alternatives that would make us happy with BN. Plus Sabah has plenty of gas and hydro capabilities but no mine-able coal (Maliau Basin is protected as we want it to be), so Sir please put aside a power plant that uses dirty enegery when we have alternatives. It is needs to abandon old system and use the English in the new system for all the government secondary school in all the subject.All student must take English as their major subject then choose their mother tongue (chinese,Malay or India) as their second language subject before Sec 3.Then after sec 3 English will be still the compulsory for the student then ML will become selectable subject. Let the time to persuade people to convert into English system will be easier than force them to use English system.(Primary school and kindergarten)

GANJARAN UNTUK KAKITANGAN KERAJAAN YANG BERPRESTASI TINGGI Apa yang ingin saya cadangkan ialah dengan mewujudkan satu badan penilai prestasi kakitangan kerajaan (BPPKK) yang diletakkan di bawah bidang kuasa Jabatan Perdana Menteri yang akan turun ke setiap jabatan-jabatan kerajaan untuk membuat penilaian kepada kakitangan yang dicalonkan oleh ketua jabatan untuk mendapat anugerah perkhidmatan cemerlang (APC). Kakitangan yang terpilih perlulah menyediakan segala dokumentasi serta bukti-bukti yang menyokong tahap kecemerlangannya pada tahun yang dinilai. Mekanisma penilaian bolehlah dibuat dengan cara temuduga ataupun pembentangan hasil kerja. Dengan itu kakitangan yang betul-betul berprestasi tinggi dan layak akan dapat ditentukan melalui mekanisma ini. Ketua jabatan pula tidak akan memilih sewenang-wenang kakitangannya untuk mendapat APC disebabkan oleh adanya badan penilai ini yang akan menilai semula calon-calon tersebut berpandukan kepada apa yang dibentangkan oleh calon APC.

YAB Dato' Sri, As a parent of 2 children in primary school, I have seen the benefits of having Science and Maths taught in English. My kids easily supplement their lessons with content from TV and the internet, which is mostly in English. We have a good thing going here sir. Please designate certain schools as PPSMI schools so that parents have a choice in the education of their kids. Thank you.

Anyone can be a leader. In a family, the father is normally considered the leader of the family. How do students see today’s leaders ? Students cannot be underestimated or do not think about what they see or know. Not all are borned to have leadership qualities. Some are late bloomers. Some never bloom but are expected to take up the leadership role. Some will remain followers. An education gives them a status. But one does not become a leader after finishing an exam or a course or just because the document says so. Who influence them beside their parents ? The teachers for at least 10 years or so. Their friends. Their acquaintances. Their idols. Therefore, the foundation must be good for a potential good leader.

One of the latest happenings in the internet world is that web domains can be written in the original or native language and do not need the English alphabet. In another words, if we do not know that writing, we will never know what the meaning is. Therefore, language is important. In Malaysia, there is the Tamil writing, there is the Mandarin writing and not forgetting the Jawi writing. Malaysians will be more enriched if they know more languages. A language class should carry enough credit points. It is not enough just to study the basic subjects. Inroad should be made into other subjects so that the name of education lives up to its’ true meaning. It is not about just being in class and passing exams.

Sir, I am all for a single school system. Other countries can practise and progress with single school system, why cannot Malaysia? It is the politicians who choose the present school system in order to be seen a champions of the races whilst at the same time they send their children to schools overseas Don't you think that one school system is the unifying factor for a true 1Malaysia?. Only then will we have satu negara, satu bahasa. At the moment satu negara berbilang bahasa.

I really appreacite Datuk Seri Najib suggestion to have a single stream school for our Malaysian. To interect with races, this is the best platform and need to implement as soon as possible before our country become raciast. When I was schoolling in 1970's I really feel the love of Malaysian as such I really for it for better future of Malaysia.

Y.A.B.PM , I am a driving instructor from kuantan. Regarding the Coal fired TNB plant in Sabah, I thin Gas would be a better alternative than Coal. 1. We have plenty of it. 2. Using gas, we save the country precious foreign exchange, and keep the money form flowing out,I am sure we need to buy coal from other countries. 3. Better for the environment,even the day, the newspaper says in an article that we are top producer of green house gas for this region.( i don't now how true) 4. Why not give it a more thorough research before jumping into it, and moreover the Bakun Dam will be up and running before your new Coal fired plant is ready.

Astro provides the worst satellite TV service in the world and yet the government take no action and allow Astro to continue with such lousy service in Malaysia. Rakyat paid hundred of Ringgit for their service but we cannot watch the TV programs when it is raining or when there is wind blowing. This is the worst kind of service I ever encounter in the private corporate company of the world. Don't you know about this?

Dear Sir, This morning while reading and having my breakfast, i am sad to find your statement on our daily local paper saying that Sabah need the coal fired plant for the state development. I hope that you will reconsider your statement and be the champion in making sabah a role model to the global community as the greenest and develop state in malaysia. This is now possible if only we are open to options and focus to committing the above. Other than that, why not the government invest on clean resources, such as wind energy and solar sel. These two clean energy can be obtain easily and cheap enough for long term. Why government wanna waste such natural resources, and keep thinking about the dirty, waste money, and limited resources? Ifully agree that a single stream school will bring about unity and closeness of the rakyat only if the languages are given equal importance just like in Singapore.While the public is disinclined to make the collective decision the government must take the initial step towards to make all institutions of higher learning for all races such as the UiTM. It is pointless in having the single stream school and then streamline them into racial disintergation when it comes to higher education.Dato seri, are you with this noblest intention to open institution of higher education for all races with the aim of unity and development rather than looking at the rakyat for their decision.
